@M.A.R. Hmm, finished 3rd book and terrible "bridging of timeline gap" shows up. Yeah, that was what really killed the books, GoT only made a finishing blow.
I mean all chapters of Cersei, Jamie, Bri + Some Greyjoys and Martells? What a waste of time - nothing important happens.
While TV series ended on 5th season, books with 3rd one.

@Mithoron there was a timeline gap in book 3?
Oh
You mean the entirety of book 4
Well, I'm a bit of a moralizer, so I spent the entirety of book 4 trying to, well, not sympathize, but understand POV chars in book 4, esp. Cersei
But I couldn't fully manage it I guess.

@M.A.R. There should not be what's in 4&5, except in some flashbacks.

And book 4 and 5 expanding the 'main cast' feels excessive unless he does something with it. Maybe even then. And that's all promised in book 6.
Which my lifespan won't allow me to read
@Mithoron I mean, the second half of five was promising in how it set up the chess pieces
I maintain that it's far superior to the show that Doran remained a big player in the making, opposing Dany and Cersei, to be going for the real Aegon
Again, promises to be fulfilled in book 6
It's also on book 6 or 7 on how to deal with Jamie, if he's alive, and Sandor, if he's alive.
If they just died then and there then yeah it would be a total waste

@M.A.R. I think this Aegon would cooperate with Dany & Jon, but he put him in a bit of a wrong moment, again because of this timeline thing.
@M.A.R. It's not terribly important, much like the rest of 4&5, but Sandor is this diggin' monk and we dunno what happens with Jamie after he goes off with Bri

Also Arya's arc in the books kicks ass, the show can't hold a candle. But well, we haven't even seen her turn into a proper facechangershifter assassin person thingy
Cripes the shapeshifters in Baldur's Gate are always annoying
To be hated with passion
@Mithoron if Jamie does indeed become Goldenhand, then the story of him becoming one will make for a pretty good read. Sandor, yeah, unless some dramatic change happens in his personality that doesn't feel forced, which would be difficult to pull off, yeah he would be predictable

6:39 PM
@M.A.R. Kinda
@M.A.R. Shame on you for playing 3rd instead of BG2
