@YaakovEllis well, since I'm less involved in the depths of SE than Mith (e.g. I was never a mod, and I'm active only on Meta), it would be more of a "fun meeting" than "Business meeting", i.e. less crucial... I do want to meet for שווארמה - if the "triple meeting" will prove to be non doable, I'll come along to Rehovot at some point, no worry. (But probably not this week. :))

true, but I think there are no ferry connections between Africa and the islands! That's probably why it is not recommending the route
The mediterranean route is definitely the more scenic one, though. You get some of the most beautiful areas of Turkey, the Balkans, Italy, France, Spain...

The more I look at that route, the more I want to drive it tbh

Only thing that looks doubtful is Syria I guess. Would it be possible/not insane to drive through it at this point?
