Intentional mass content plagiarism should result in a loss of moderation privilege where applicable and suspension. It is one of the most extreme examples of abuse of system privilege, systemic abuse, gaming the system, and a violation of the moral outlook from the Code of Conduct.

@TravisJ Let's not jump right into this topic calling for diamonds to be removed. that's not a great way to start a topic here.
For one thing, most of us in this room can't do anything about that. Only employees.

9:40 PM
@Rubiksmoose I disagree. This is not a time to be dismissive of such abuse.
It is theft.

@TravisJ I'm just saying there's a constructive way to bring up a topic and there's an inflammatory way.

Time, place, and method.

Oh, okay, what do you think should happen to users who steal content en masse on purpose?

depends on their rep

There's a meta question about it. That seems like a good place for it get worked out.

9:43 PM
great timing feeds lol

@TravisJ This is not a place where we can enact any sort of judgment on people. I'm not even saying you're wrong to be upset or anything. Just, for this room, it's not appropriate to start a conversation by calling for suspensions/demodding of specific users.

XKCD aside, this is a serious problem. This room is a mainstay observatory for many CM's.

@TravisJ I hear the CMs also occasionally look at Meta.

If you want to turn it into a meme session about gaming, fine, but don't be surprised when you get real issues because of the general purpose that was here for years prior.

....what?

9:45 PM
@TravisJ We still discuss plenty of hot issues and problematic behavior here, we just do it in an appropriate way.

I didn't expect you to enact anything Rubiks, this is above the average user's ability for oversight.

Also meme session about gaming (?)

Look. Nobody's disputing that it's a problem that needs to be addressed. However, you're being told that perhaps the way you brought it up here wasn't the best, and that maybe it's not an issue that needs to be in the Tavern in the first place. It's on Meta. It's been there for... not very long, still. This seems like the kind of thing that mods should be able to handle without CM assistance. So... let's see what happens there.

Not really interested in discussing, that is for meta, where I have already made the same point. This was as direct a notification as I could give to the CM team, in my best effort.

@TravisJ Now I'm really confused. What was the purpose of posting in a chatroom if you weren't interested in discussion? Just lobing that in here and skedaddling?

9:49 PM
The CM team doesn't look at every message here. That's my job. ;)

I didn't bring it up here to discuss it with the room, sorry you took it that way. As noted, this is as close to using the contact us form as you can get.

I...don't think that's true. And this room definitely should not be being used in place of the contact us form.
Different purposes completely.

Welcome to the Tavern @Rubiks.
Feel free to disagree, that was the intended use, and imo it will work because I have seen it work in this fashion historically for several years.
All this other stuff is noise, and is not a constructive dialog to continue.
o/

Alrighty then.
