I assume that Alex is interested mainly in Mi Yodeya. I have also added the number of top users as a parameter: top 100, top 250, top 500, etc.

You could do this also network wide ....
 
I have never created a networkwide query - so when I try to do so, I will start with something very simple (for example, without CTEs).
You have mentioned this query as an example: data.stackexchange.com/stackoverflow/query/1004129/… So when I decide to try something like that, I'll have a look there.
 
@Martin yeah, it is a bit tricky. You probably need to get the top x users first in the #results table and then do the group by and having. Doing the CTE in the per-site query will probably not work due to how that query gets executed and the limitations on where and how CTE's are allowed.
