Q: Rollout of responsive design site themes - Tracking post

CatijaThis post will be updated as the responsive design and left navigation layouts are released on each site. Previously, we tried this out by releasing still screenshots of the site designs and getting input on them and then releasing them live. This was problematic because users couldn't actually ...

I already posted there a comment asking why.
By the other hand, on es.stackoverflow.com/users/preferences/65, the label has all lower cap instead of proper casing. The description is all in English.

Hi @g3rv4
One question for you. How do you think that this question should be handled?

Q: Post feedback popups not localized

GlorfindelWhen trying to downvote an answer on Stack Overflow em Português (which I can't do because I do not have the required 125 reputation), the popup "Thanks for the feedback" is still in English: I encountered the same problem on Stack Overflow en español and my sockpuppet on the other two interna...

I'm asking you because you are "joined" to this chat room :)

@Rubén I don't understand the question... this was a missing translation, right?
in the sites with Traducir, what people can do is go to Traducir and mark the strings as urgent
I don't know how that question should be handled on meta or what's the proper channel to translate a string on all the international sites

4:18 PM
@g3rv4 Yes, it looks like a missing translation. The OP said that it happens on all the the localized SO sites.
@g3rv4 That's a fair answer. Thank you.
@g3rv4 Whould you like to add that as a comment/answer to the question? ("in the sites with Traducir, what people can do is go to Traducir and mark the strings as urgent")

@Rubén sure, I'll do so :)

@g3rv4 Great!

On the sites that use Traducir (that is SOes: traducir.win and SOja ja.traducir.win at the moment) you can search for the string and mark it as urgent. That's going to send a web push notification to the users that subscribed to them. — g3rv4 ♦ 12 secs ago
@Rubén this sounds like a good question for @NicolasChabanovsky though ;)

@NicolasChabanovsky Hi!

Could you please clarify the question @Rubén?
I mean, how can I help you guys here?)

@NicolasChabanovsky There is a question...
@NicolasChabanovsky Great
Nowadays we have traducir.win being used on Stack Overflow en español and スタック・オーバーフロー and we are discussing the intiative about coordinating efforts around "international" sites.
Maybe it's too early to add to an specific tag but you could know if the string reported by Glorfindel is already fixed on Stack Overflow em Português.
Or you could ping someone to check that.

I do not know, actually. There are no notifications, as I know from Transifex
On SOru, translators ping me in a chat when they add something new and I need to import it to the engine.
Did I get your question correctly?

@NicolasChabanovsky Yes, the "original question" is answered.
I think that we should wait and see how the feedack and initiaves on international SO sites evolve, and maybe later add a tag to the Glorfindel's question.

@Rubén Do you mean ?

@NicolasChabanovsky I don't like that tag :)

A: Feedback And Initiatives On International Sites

RubénBeing realistic, and probably pretty obvious, in the short term the new communication processes about "international sites" should take advantage of the existing Meta SE workings. Vocabulary Instead of using "international sites" to refer to [es.so],[jp.so], [pt.so] and [ru.so], refer them ...

@Rubén Sorry, it's almost night in Russia :)
The post is about translation. Could you please clarify what do you mean by "maybe later add a tag to the Glorfindel's question."?

@NicolasChabanovsky I think that a discussion regarding which tags will be used for the new communication process around the "international sites" is in progress. We should wait for the result of it, then revisit the Glorfindel's question.
