@JoErNanO Here's my problem: many sites have a clear scope. However, some sites where I'm less used to asking have a fuzzy scope

so when i'm asking questions on a site that I'm not that familiar with, it ends up getting downvotes and closed sometimes

and I really don't like that

because it can lead to question bans

@Nzall See, that question has 4 reopen votes. One more and it'll live again. IMHO you'll always get 5 people who close-vote dubious-ish questions. You'll equally find 5 who vote to reopen.

Also, @ShadowWizard is right: that is how you learn the site. What is written on the Help centre doesn't always reflect how the site is managed.

I assumed that this question was okay to ask because it was similar to related hygiene questions concerning squat and sit toilets, bidets, cold showers,...

FYI I have 5 denied flags on Mechanics. It took me a while to understand how they do things there. Very different compared to travel.

Don't get me wrong, I still mess up from time to time, but if I don't have at least some conformity to the basic demands of society about behavior and expression, I risk getting excluded from it.

However, when traveling in the past and packing my clothes, I kept wondering if there's anything like "underwear code dress".
Should I re-consider when packing fancy boxers, tight boxers used for swimming, etc, when travelling to certain places?
