Is the post score on Salesforce a lot closer to the down arrow than up? salesforce.stackexchange.com/questions/120958/…

Yes...
I don't remember it being like that.

Blame bjb.

user315433
The bug report is about another broken piece of UI, but close enough so I won't post mine.

I blame you for listening to bjb...

Salesforce seems to be evenly divided between give-me-some-Java-code-plz and debug-my-Java-code-plz.

Suppose 20 chairs are arranged in a classroom, in a rectangular pattern with 4 rows. So they form 5 ... what's the word for this?

user315433
In a 4 by 5 matrix, that would be 4 rows and 5 columns. But I don't think "a column of chairs" is idiomatic.

user315433
Aisle comes to mind, but it's a passage between chairs.

My history teacher, back near halloween, told the first row of students to come to her desk to collect candy. Being in the first row, I did, while others from both the first row and first column came. She refused to let the recalcitrant students in the first row, but not the first column collect candy.
So to this day I am on a noble crusade against incorrect matrix terminology in relation to student desks. There's rows and columns. The rows are parallel to the board in the front.

user315433
1:04 AM
I support the cause, but am unsure about "column". Another candidate is "file"

user315433
file: "any of the rows of squares that extend across a chessboard from one player's side to the other player's side"

user315433
Not to be confused with filé, "powdered young leaves of sassafras used to thicken soups or stews"

user202362
@bjb568 your teacher is better than Santa, at least your teacher gives recalcitrant students gifts, albeit last ...

Q: Site Health: Where to from here?

QuillWe recently went into public beta and while it's a big step, we need to look at our next step in the journey of Language Learning: graduation. While the period between public beta and graduation is a potentially long time (more than a year, sometimes up to 5!), we should take a look at how we pl...

Hi

hello

Whats up ?

I was pinging a different Meta... this Meta: but he changed his name

Oh ok..
What is Meta for ? I am new to this thing

9:20 AM
CC @sandwich on that post above
@MEtastic Meta is the discussion boards about each individual site
So programming questions are okay on Stack Overflow, and questions about Stack Overflow are okay on Meta Stack Overflow
That user just named himself Meta before

Hmmm..SO what is the difference in Meta here and the individual site wise Meta ?
I had created the login but did not participate in it

Meta Stack Exchange is a special meta because it's about all the SE sites and not a specific one

hmmmmm
