MoosemanThe text is bumping into the header. #mainbar currently has margin: 0 10px 0 0. It should have margin: 10px 10px 0 0. @InfiniteRecursion aren't you afraid that we now get all kind of non-programming related stuff with regard to that oxwall tag?
I wasn't so sure if the tag needs to exist

@Unihedron Oh well. Probably not the worst thing in the world. I've been tempted to kill off my account at times.

You left fb @uni?

The new privacy policy is the final straw, @Lynn, made me revisit everything

There's like 12 links in there. Read them all. The cover page is a lie.

@Unihedron never been on that thing and never will be. The day fb will finally be forgotten look near the coffin and you will see my ghost hanging a sign with "Finally" written on it.

@SPArchaeologist Heh, when I register an account I was forced to by school. Eventually I found out that I'm not one who cares about what happens to my "friend"s. So I've been letting it rot until finally it's asking to be ditched.

@NateKerkhofs final as in you swtich employers?

no, final as in "I got let go because I didn't make enough revenue to justify the money they spent on me"
i'm currently in my 5th of my 6 weeks notice, so they end on the 14ths
and my work is done, so my boss allows me to just stay at home in payment so I can look for work

3:29 PM
hmm. have you already written some applications @NateKerkhofs

Pff, he doesn't apply. People beg him to come.

dammit I should've realized..

not yet, because I already had a vacation planned for this winter months ago with my parents and I'm not available for the job market until the first week of January. I can't go to job interviews during that period, and after that period I can get assistance from a special non-profit for people with disabilities in looking for a job
and yes, I realize that's not a good reason to delay my search until then

Pff, go back to the important discussion in the other room @Bart. Do some good :D

@InfiniteRecursion good? I don't do good? I do evil!

3:35 PM
Always @Bart. Always!
Revious is innocent. He seeks advice from the evil glasses!

@Ramhound: Come on, let's not be pedantic. You pointed out that one of my concerns - "future compatibility" - should be removed as nobody can predict the future, so I did. Yes, I am looking for advise on what device to purchase. But I am unsure which one would be best suited for my purpose - ios development. As I mentioned, someone pointed out to me that development for retina and non-retina displays differs. And so I am wondering if there other similar things I may be ignorant about. I don't see why experienced ios developers can't offer their opinions on the same, and why it won't be useful? — Sam 2 mins ago
@JanDvorak I'll post a comment that underscores the fact that his title still very much asks for a shopping recommendation.

@LynnCrumbling I think he should have asked it in SO instead of SU, but other than that it's still a valid question

Stay away @LynnCrumbling, it's an angry OP

Personally, I think he should buy one of them, and find beta testers for the other tabs.
but that's not quite on-topic for this chat, so I'll keep away from that

@NateKerkhofs Agreed. The SU people aren't devs.
@InfiniteRecursion I'd like to help him out :-/
Fundamentally, the word "buy" is still in your title. You need to disconnect the idea of purchasing something from your need to select hardware. As long as you broach the idea of shopping, this will be ot. — Lynn Crumbling 49 secs ago

A: Feedback Requested: Stack Overflow design update

MoosemanBUG: The tags when using inline tag editor have poor margins: Currently, .tag-editor .post-tag has margin: 6px 3px 0 3px;. It would look better with margin: 3px;. The parent .tag-editor, which appears to be styled via js, needs height: 33px; rather than height: 30px;. That looks like this:

@InfiniteRecursion Yeah... I don't see a way for the OP to fix their question. No matter how they ask it, the question is going to be subjective. It's not answerable. Thanks for linking to the Meta for me to read.

Nice, and now what?
That is almost NAA ....
So a retag is al that is needed?

I disagree @rene. OP proposed a feature-request for a new queue for synonyms and my answer answers the present question:
0
A: How do you actually get a synonym approved

Infinite RecursionYou can post a synonym-request here on MSO like this

^ It's a tiny answer, but it's a valid answer, not a NAA :(

@InfiniteRecursion Technically you're correct....

@rene I think Infinite Recursion's answer was more meant as a general answer, not only for this specific tag. The question also asks about getting tag synonyms approved in general. — ProgramFOX 11 secs ago

@rene: this post is a feature request for a new queue for synonyms. OP used the synonyms only to exemplify the current situation. This post is NOT a synonym-request. Retagging will be invalid and conflict with the author's intent. — Infinite Recursion 53 secs ago

I just love the squabbling in the question when we actually all agree in chat. :)

@rene downvoted one of my MSO answers today, so I am just giving him a hard time now @Bart ;)

Take that:
Sure, but if I remove the last sentence my point becomes valid. This OP's initial (and I assume, I know that is tricky) and only intent is to get those synonyms approved, not get involved in some meta discussion if this post is a correct way to do that.... — rene 24 secs ago

@Inf seriously, it looks quite readable in this form for me.

@Bart, for example: Meta SE has 7812 unanswered questions (meta.stackexchange.com/unanswered/tagged/?tab=votes). From this total of 7812, 7764 have no answers (meta.stackexchange.com/unanswered/tagged/?tab=noanswers). I want to filter the 48 questions (7812-7764).

Myeah, I guess that feeling stays no matter how many you've taken. Luckily I haven't had to take one in quite a while now.

Haha, I suppose so. Which ones have you taken?
I probably wouldn't be taking them now, if it weren't for the fact that it looks good to our clients, and our company gets deals (on licenses and such) from Microsoft the more certs its employees have.

@jadarnel27 no cert testing, but general aptitude stuff.
Luckily they don't really care about such stuff in my domain. A PhD would be nice there, but that's no longer going to happen
