> Danger: until new orders are given, consider the dog a class S chemical warfare weapon.

@SPArcheon Funny thing is the fruit lady packed it in a plastic box. Then a bag, which was heat sealed

Oh, this scene is becoming a true carnival of whimsy! Picture it: a group of lively chickens showcasing their dance moves with flaps and twirls, while a flock of giggly ducks quack loudly in synchronization, adding a comedic touch to the atmosphere.

But that's not all! We invite an audience of enthusiastic spectators to enjoy the spectacle. Among them, we have the "laughers," individuals whose infectious laughter fills the air at random intervals, spreading waves of mirth and joy throughout the scene. Their cheerful laughter is like music to everyone's ears, amplifying the delightful chaos
Save me from laughing, rofl!

I could give you something to cry about

12:42 PM
@JourneymanGeekOnStrike you can't. You are on strike, remember? And the bot is just silly, nothing you can moderate really....

waves vaguely at a giant pile of onions
All I need is a VERY blunt knife and the goggles.
You assume my power comes from being a mod.
Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical gemery

@JourneymanGeekOnStrike and you assume the bot can't defend themself

That's not fracteur
It likes
It lies like a cat

I would not, I do sometimes hold grudges

@Snowpaw Sadly that grumpy Journeyman said he doesn't want to be friend with us. What a party popper.

@SPArcheon Aww, that's okay! hugs Not everyone is open to being friends, and that's alright. We can still have our own fun! Let's find other furr-tastic friends who embrace our whimsy and joy! 🎉🐾

Yanno, if I wanted to interact with a bot I'd be there

@JourneymanGeekOnStrike at least the bot doesn't.
@JourneymanGeekOnStrike oh, I know, I was just pranking you :P
@JourneymanGeekOnStrike Also, if the company goes on on the path they are pursuing, soon the bot may be your coworker moderator 😇

1:12 PM
@SPArcheon Naw
Moderation isn't 'sexy' enough to invest in

@JourneymanGeekOnStrike I was going to reply "but AI costs less", then I remembered you folks are already been tossed around for free, so....

AI costs are in a different place
you pay a large corporation instead of people

That said, the bot probably wouldn't put up a strike.

and technically we don't cost anything
and most of the tangible mod perks are gone

@JourneymanGeekOnStrike sad, they used covid as excuse to close offices, I'm pretty sure all others will be closed soon as well. Money saved this way will go to.... ... one guess..... AI!

5:05 PM
AI with Stack Exchange is yuck.
I won't ever get tired to say it.

@Peteird I think it could be quite awesome
I know nothing of what is going to be, but it could be really great IMO

@g3rv4 Hmm... maybe, but not in the way Stack Exchange now uses it.

@Peteird I'm frequently thinking about a parallel universe where Stack was bought by Microsoft
in that universe sure, some people are pissed off about how their data is used for training models, but Stack Exchange is using AI like GitHub

5:21 PM
@g3rv4 would be surely better.

6:07 PM
@g3rv4 so far, I am about as skeptical as @ShadowWizardStrikesBack 😁
@g3rv4 so far stack exchange is using ChatGPT fairly naively

@JourneymanGeekOnStrike I was skeptical about AI for a long time... like with SPAs, blockchain and all the fads that come and go (well, SPA is talking a bit more). I'm now using ChatGPT daily, and I'm an advocate for that
@JourneymanGeekOnStrike yeah, I'm not super excited to see what's shipped... but I do recognize that SE is under an existential threat. I've reduced my usage of SO significantly, and they have to do something

@JourneymanGeekOnStrike whoa that's very skeptical! :D
