did all my joins in a subtable, and then did a join on that with a table of integers
the table of integers is dreadfully ugly, but it seems to be working

Does anybody know how to use codacy? Seems borked and slow to me, and the only way to get it to reanalyze is to delete the thing and make it again :(

Have you used codacy, @Quill or @Doork n00b?

I don't know what that is

It's awful, don't find out.

user315433
@Quill "A fan"... Another reminder that April 1 is the one day of the year when people question the accuracy of news stories.

user202362

yeah ... and people me question banned on meta for joking

@404 April fools jokes have been canceled due to last year's one being taken literally.
People are stupid all year round.

There's a really good alternative that works really really well
I definitely recommend it

Fine, I want a good linter.

integrate eslint into your build tool

Gah, looks complicated. I'll probably do that.

it's not that hard to integrate into grunt or whatever
they're usually just packages and you add the package call into the buildfile

I like wabsites better.
Expected '===' and instead saw '=='.
Why do people disallow this fundamental language feature? It's great. I use it all the time. Type conversion is just part of JS.
oh god missing radix for parseInt, what a sin

1:54 AM
Because strict mode doesn't like truthy comparisons
@bjb568 I have an unfinished PR of your code that fixes all of those

@Quill Huh? Strict mode as in 'use strict';?

yes

@Quill noooooooo

I ditched it because I thought it was a petty reason to do a PR

@Quill What's wrong with truth comparisons? Should I make them all be falsy?

1:56 AM
@bjb568 truthy is ==, truth is ===

truthy is 1
strict mode loves them ==
I've never had a problem with it.

@Quill Looks great. Does exactly what I expect it to.

When your code is 1000 lines long you have bigger problems.

No.
Mar 31 at 1:36, by bjb568
What's really insane is code that I have to look thru and understand where it's split up into 10 files, each with 300 lines. 80 of the 300 lines are whitespace, 150 are whole-line comments. The remaining code is split up into cryptic functions which all call each other; each function is only a few lines of code.

2:34 AM
1093 lines? eek.

It handles all routing and post requests.
Don't talk to me about my high cyclomatic complexity.

global.errorNotFound = function(req, res, user) {
	respondPage('404', user, req, res, o(function*() {
		res.write('<h1>Error 404 :(</h1>');
		res.write('<p>The requested file could not be found. If you found a broken link, please <a href="mailto:support@devdoodle.net">let us know</a>.</p>');
		res.write('<p><a href="javascript:history.go(-1)">Go back</a>, <a href="/search/?q=' + encodeURIComponent(req.url.pathname.replaceAll('/', ' ')) + '">Search</a>.</p>');
		res.end(yield fs.readFile('html/a/foot.html', yield));
You couldn't just have a static 404 page??
Bye @AstroCB. :(

@hichris123 That's it right there.

That's... not static.
2

You have to understand that I do the routing, it's not Apache or anything.
It would be slower to offload it into another file, and I'd still need a custom function like that to handle 404s.
@404 you're the expert here, can you weight in on this?
