@NoviceInDisguise Unfortunately with this backlog, sending a site to the "graduation queue" and getting a design published are currently two different things. We recently hired some fantastic new designers to help clear the backlog, but there is a still about 9 sites waiting for a design, so anything I can report here would be wildly inaccurate and subject to change, Designers are working on getting these design out amidst all the bug reports and feature requests, so which sites are completed first simply depends on who is available. Sorry I don't have anything further to report. — Robert Cartaino ♦ 3 hours ago

If this plan goes through, Blender may be the first site to hold mod election while being a beta in terms of design and privileges.

It sounds like you're going through a really hard time. I'd really like to help you, but unfortunately, we're not well-equipped to do so here. Your best option is probably to call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. People are on call there to talk to people struggling with the same kind of issues you are, regardless of location. ShokhetI think Shog9's answer to the meta.programmers question is good enough. Some of the commenters there noted that this answer is US-specific, so you may have to replace the resources here with something that is more relevant to the poster, if they have posted their location on their profile page. ...

@Braiam The flag is helpful anyway.

@AlexisKing It was fun. We ran a little festival up in the Catskills, it went well.
Only one incident of some kid slicing his arm open while on acid, so I'd call it a win.
That's why we make you sign waivers at the gate, suckaz.

4:39 AM
Acid and wounds don't mix.

Yes. Generally, hilarity does not ensue.

"Pouring acid into the wound" is just a bad idea.

Skipping ahead, the real moral of that story is: Always buy health insurance, kids.

I'm not fond of the idea of mixing weapons and intoxication, but you can trip on a single step and break your nose.

Oh, then you wouldn't have liked our drunken bb gun standoff.

4:42 AM
Isn't it obligatory now?
Poke an eye out with that.

I also recall, at some point, cooking chicken on a sword. I don't know why there was a sword.

Satay.

Or some approximation thereof.
There was a whole crew of people from Alaska there. I don't know why. But they had awesome camping gear.

Need to.
Apogeia doesn't run here for a couple more weeks. Hopefully warmer by then, though I'll be in SLC gazing at the salt flats.

It's festival season.
We always have a hard time with fundraising events in the summer because there's constant competition.

Apogaea's cancelled this year.

Eh? Cause why?

No idea. I just checked their site to look up the date and it says cancelled. apogaea.com

Strange, it was strong.
We've been wet but not that wet.

4:52 AM
Looks like it was last minute, they lost a ton of money. Perhaps related to losing their site.

Ug.

Yup. "Due to the refusal of the land owner to execute our lease on the land that we have used consecutively for the last four years in Bailey, Colorado, and having no other suitable options at this time, we have decided that our best course of action is to cancel the event for 2015."

Money is always a problem. If you ever look into BRC's finances, you see how tenuous things can be.
Getting a multiyeat lock is critical for planning.

The only reason Nevada and the BLM even let that event happen is the money the state makes off of it in fees and such. They milk it for all its worth.

Somebody has to clean the Playa. It got trashed a lot before we started spending months sifting it with miner's screens.

4:56 AM
Anyways I feel bad for the Apogaea crew. They must be incredibly bummed and frustrated.
Dude I want to make a playa zamboni so bad.

I'm sure. I only went once, long ago.
Back when it was tiny.

We get just over 3 football fields of area and by the time we do the final sweep there's usually only 4-6 people left. It's awful.

It was too cold.

Some kind of modified farm equipment. I figure it can shave off about 2 inches, filter it, drop it back down, and mist it with water. Would be so awesome.
Not really "no trace", but...
Neither is the event. It's more, "leave no trace... from the ankles down".

Camping here is always cold at night. Worse than the Playa, although the Playa is much colder than most realize. Prepping for 35-115 is not a normal camping trip. I've been trapped out after dark in the cold plenty there.

5:00 AM

One year I was with some virgins. Got there and put stuff up. Had a bit todrink. They asked me why I told them to put the rainfly on when it wouldn't rain. I was too tired/buzzed to remember why, just knew you had to. They didn't. So they froze.

Sad trombone.
Actually I was really hoping you'd say, "They didn't. And it poured."

That was the night the Man burned too early during the lunar eclipse.
They didn't, and they froze, actually.

Oh that.
You know, that dude killed himself a couple years ago.

5:03 AM
No, I didn't.

He was a lawyer, lost his license after arson charges (from that event and I think he burned down a church too), fell into depression, and killed himself.

That was the year there was a suicide at one of the camps. Just ugly.

I think he threw himself in front of a train or something.
Oh YEAH!! Holy shit I forgot all about that!

That was messed up.

Comfort & Joy IIRC.
A Coloradan, I think. They removed his name from Wikipedia.

He hung himself didn't he?
I can't remember. I think I blocked that story out.

Yes. So ugly. First death was by dragon though, few years earlier.
Drunk girl fell between dragon segments and was trampled to death.

Hanging was worse.

My buddy painted his face before he went and burned the man. He didn't realize what he was about to do.

@cybermonkey wait...how was that a spam?

@DroidDev look at the link, if it's not spam it's VLQ
(also, that software is malware)

7:39 AM
@cybermonkey user asked how to get the device opened, if they have forgotten password of their android smartphone and given the link to what they found about same thing in iPhone. I don't know about VLQ, but its not a spam as it currently stands

is there a way to see the timeline of upvotes casted on answers of a specific question?

@DroidDev look at the link, and the website was already blacklisted so it's likely the same question was been asked before (with a similar interpretation).

@cybermonkey also, the user has an account on ask different since last three months, though never asked a very good question there either.
that's why I think, intention was not to spam

I see many solutions online, however, most are about how to unlock iPhone, why point to a specific website where the software in question on the page is malware, this is very cleverly disguised spam.
