Consider I have almost built a house myself (with some help from my dad) with no previous experience and passed 3 out of 5 tests in one go already, I really don't think it's all that hard. Sure it's not going to be pretty as done by a professional and it would be a lot slower. But hey, it's all about physics (and a bit chemistry) ... & having a engineering degree helps a little too!

altos
The musical term alto, meaning "high" in Italian (Latin: altus), refers to the second highest part of a contrapuntal musical texture and is also applied to its associated vocal range, especially in choral music. More rarely it describes the highest male solo voice type (usually designated countertenor), and it is also the root word of contralto, the lowest standard female voice type. When designating instruments, "alto" likewise can refer either to the corresponding vocal range (alto flute and alto trombone) or to musical role (alto recorder and alto clarinet). == Etymology == In choral music for...

Q: Add 'this is my first post' (and several other phrases) to the question content filter

bobIt's well-known on Stack Overflow (and perhaps all of Stack Exchange) that the first line of every question/answer is checked using regular expression against a list of unallowed words & phrases. Simple words such as 'Hello' and 'Hi' are disallowed, but lately I've noticed a few (new) questions...

@Frank I think this is true in general. On Math, about 50% of all anonymous feedback is negative. On one hand, users are somehow allergic to downvoting. One another hand, a downvote from an anonymous visitor can mean "this isn't what I was looking for".
