I cannot find evidence for this, but I suspect that the OP downvote on the answer is disregarded when it comes to self-deletion of a question.

@MartijnPieters - naw, I was wrong. For a self-delete of a question: will not be allowed if it has one of: accepted answer, more than 1 answer, an answer with at least 1 upvote.

Note the last condition - it isn't about score. It is about having an upvoted answer, even if it has 0/negative score.

Meta is broken. A discussion engine should support polynesting like reddit.
