@b_jonas You obviously are thinking about Starpony. Yet, somehow, this also reminds me about Death Note.

Not because Light in the end really understands anything or because he redeems and decide to stop being Kira... there is no redemption there. The point is that even in the end you are left without a valid answer about the center point of the story.

Was Light evil from the start or was the Note that corrupted him? Most of the plot would point to him being evil before acquiring the note... but then you have a story arc where he loses his memory and acts as he never had found it. Was that the real Light? or the other one?
