@Derpy test message
Yay!!!

Why should I want to be here @Derpy?
!!/alive?
>>help

@ShadowWizard because I needed a guinea pig :P

lol you really made such a button?

yep

2:41 PM
It doesn't onebox unless you use a reply to?
how lame.

Tavern is pretty "safe", I'd say, so don't think you'll be using it too much. :)
@Derpy true, it must be the only content.
You take the ID of last message?

seem you need to.

If so, you might miss, not being quick enough
Fear you'll have to add this as hover option or menu item for each message.

actually, it seems you need to link to the last message

@Derpy what do you mean?

2:43 PM
if you use the @username form it doesn't onebox
:messageId followed by image url does
never knew about this difference
yep, does not onebox unless you use a message id
:1461249792 test

@Derpy of course, the :messageId is a direct reply to a message

@ShadowWizard the point is why direct responses perform onebox and pings don't

2:59 PM
@Derpy ping is considered content and controlled by the user, direct response is not.
@Der is pinging
@Derp also ping, and different.
:4838451 will always cause the same format, which can't be changed though

3:15 PM
@ShadowWizard which is still nonsense, since from a UI viewpoint, you cannot even really tell apart a full name ping and a reply-to-last-message post
@ShadowWizard this is a ping
and it still links to the above message if you hover on it
(notice: the above isn't actually what I meant. I meant that the system is tracking the last message in both user case, so I don't know why onebox is skipped...)

3:50 PM
ok, altered the button to work like send.
I first select the message, then just press scold.
I have to find an avatar of Rarity face to use in the pop-up

5 hours later…
8:40 PM
@Derpy nice, still a good shortcut saving you the need to paste the URL every time. :)
