8:51 AM
@Pëkka you are not pingable! ;-)

@Pëkka a little shadow wizard told me you live on an island. How's life over there?

Hey, I'm not little!! :P

9:12 AM
@Stijn I do! Mostly very nice. And sunny.
Lots of work, too.
When's Welbog getting married?
When are we going to see photos?
Is she a head in a jar, too?
@Reno one day I want to know whether Reno is actually from Reno.
Ha!
A little birdie tells me the wedding is about a week and a half away.
And that a Nolan End Table may or may not be part of the proceedings.

@Pëkka what does it means?

@Fawad oh, loooooong story

@Pëkka but tell him about the less nice things.... ;)
I mean, @Stijn said he want to live on island too, so want to cheer him up by showing it's not all that ideal. :D

@ShadowWizard the grass is always greener elsewhere. Although it's so hot here that there is no grass!

9:17 AM
@ShadowWizard yeah, in the winter we have rains with floods that need a lot of protecting against.

And neighbours?

Those, too.
@Fawad it's a long complicated inside joke that started with this post. Unlikely to be worth the time getting one's head around it really.

@Pëkka you need lots of protecting against neighbours? :p

9:33 AM
@Stijn nah. Very little crime & violence around here. Even break-ins are rare here in the rural north of the island. Just have had troubles with the owners of the plot right next to mine because of where the water flows when it rains a lot.

So all the issues are resolved by now? Or is it just a "cease fire" status?

@ShadowWizard they haven't used the plot this winter, and there wasn't a lot of rain, so the issue didn't come up. I'll try to get them to sell the plot to me this year. Holding my thumbs!

@Pëkka Nice... so in 20 years you'll own the whole island? :D

@ShadowWizard heh, unlikely! 30 years too late for that. In the eighties and nineties, loads of English and Germans came over and literally bought farmers' unused plots for a couple cartons of eggs and bread. Agriculture had become unprofitable with containerships full of imports from the mainland, and the land seemed worthless. Some of those buyers are millionaires now.

9:51 AM
@Pëkka whoa... oh well, small step at a time. ;)

10:16 AM
@ShadowWizard No need for me to become a millionaire - I'd be content with having no annoying neighbours. :)

10:56 AM
@Pëkka sounds like a good plan! ;)

2 hours later…
1:03 PM
I was on an island once.
@Pëkka That was some good satire.

1:37 PM
Involuntary satire is the best satire.

6 hours later…
8:03 PM
Does the upcoming wedding mean there might be a Welbog 2.0 in development?

8:31 PM
Who knows?

1 hour later…
9:50 PM
Maybe two of those... or even three... ;)
