@Shadow This is not a duplicate. The first target is a bug report that has been marked status-bydesign; this is a feature request asking to change the design. The other target, while covering one specific case of the question, misses other cases that this question mentions.
@InsaneCat more than that: people saying he did it on purpose, i.e. he did not take any actions to prevent Corona from spreading so that the drama will save his butt. He was about to go to trial and jail before Corona started, so it was a Golden Chance for him.
And it... makes sense, to be honest.
@SonictheMaskedWerehog agree, though some will say that when marking a bug report with status-bydesign, it's the same as rejecting the same feature request.
@ShadowWizardWearingMask Yeah, I see where that comes from. But in my opinion, filing a feature request in response to a bug report marked by design is no different from filing a reconsideration request of a declined feature request. As long as it acknowledges the earlier post, rebuts the earlier reasons for dismissing it, and adds new arguments for implementing it, it should be allowed to stand.
