@SmokeDetector fp
@ShadowWizard Registered answer as false positive.
snaulX isn't a website name.
Maybe smokey is bugged??
@SmokeDetector why?
@ShadowWizard Username similar to website in answer - Username snaulX similar to snaulx at position 143-149, ratio=1.0
oh, it thinks "com.snaulx.wolparser.platforms" is a website. meh
Anyway, at least 5 false positives out of 5 last reports.... are all real spammers gone? :D

What are the rules for Smokey posting in Tavern?
@JNat long time no cross site spammer... thanks! :)

@ShadowWizard isn't this a bit passive/aggressive?
@ShadowWizard maybe it is an expirimental rule?

@rene a/b testing?
@rene no, it's totally normal for people to be surprised that I'm not active on SO.
Or more accurate, to expect to see much more activity on SO for me.
Yeah, get to work!
that ^
Nah, I prefer to keep my sanity. :P
@SmokeDetector ignore "OP excited about solution, doesn't look like attempt to be rude"

Stack Overflow and InfoJobs are partnering to bring more job opportunities to the developer community in Spain. Since we launched Stack Overflow Jobs in 2009, its mission has been to connect developers to the right job opportunities. We do this by focusing on the developer experience, empowering job searchers with criteria tailored to technical roles, and leveraging our analytics to match developers to jobs based on criteria such as location and technology.

But occasionally, developers around the world don’t see enough jobs tailored to them. That’s why we’re so excited to be partnering with InfoJobs. …

Nope, fine here
weird...
Running browser extensions that might interfere?
Nope
Just opened the tag in a different container
Double-checked by logging in with a different account
Ohh... I've seen that one before.

And logging into my main works fine too xd
@Tinkeringbell Cache bug?
Funny enough, both those are broken xD
@Tinkeringbell ah yup, searching stackoverflow.com/search?q=%5Brsync%5D+cyrus give the same result.
@Bart The 'results tagged with' in the screenshot gave it away ;)
So bug it is
Thanks for the link @Tink ^^

Unclear what you're spamming, maybe

architecture review ... that is where Nick yells at your code, right?

I would possibly pay for that

@Tinkeringbell @Bart shog just [status-complete]'d it
Software in production, customer not ready ... Remind me to never contract for a Government agency again ...
I'm officially ill. Mom just threw a blanket over me.

@Tinkeringbell take a grog! and care!
@rene Just wait until they start offering severance packages, then take your money and run
@rene I'm just using this to not have to do dishes. I'll be better in an hour :P
17:16
Okay, let me phone your mom ...
@rene Tell that to an American...considering the massive recent shutdown and the government refusing to back-pay contractors.
@Tinkeringbell get well soon! :( ... and take care of the dishes!
@rene never contract for a government agency again
@SonictheIntrovertedHedgehog yeah, seeing that I think I'm still better off ...
@andmyself I picked a good day. Apparently not everything fits in the dishwasher :D

Q: Boilerplate in answers directing users to mark as accepted?

Evan CarrollI'm not sure the network permits this, "If this answers your question, please click on the check mark to accept. Let's keep up on forum maintenance. ;-)" There are 1,500 that have this message copy-pasted into them.

@EvanCarroll Great! Now you have a venue to discuss it
@Tinkeringbell Chicken soup! Definitely chicken soup
Huh, I miss soup
@rene never contract for a Government agency again
There. And I never get paid for those reminders
that's awful
Chicken soup? No it's awesome
\o/ the snow has made it here
@ArtOfCode UK? I would have half-expected you were chatting in an igloo
20:53
yup, south coast
Isn't it like, cold cold there?
Hmm, south
23 hours ago, by ArtOfCode
All my family are getting snow, but I'm too far south and too close to the sea for it
@M.A.R.ಠ_ಠ the UK is ridiculously warm compared to the same latitude in the US
we have the lovely warm gulf stream keeping us toasty
it was 25 last night, and i'm wearing short sleeves today
@ArtOfCode Along with a chicago that's colder than one of the poles xd
@M.A.R.ಠ_ಠ This little thing called the gulf stream keeps the uk and ireland habitable. Without it both would be basically norway.
@KevinB Sounds like Denver, it was down to 17F last night and is 52F now
21:03
@Mgetz Norway also has a little thing called the gulf stream. Without it, Norway would be a hell of a lot worse xd
i'm all the way down here in mississippi
:p
AC stopped pumping out warm air last night... so it got quite cold
@Asuna Yes it would be siberia
@KevinB now I have to do the awkward northern shuffle that we do when someone mentions mississippi or alabama
The two states of the union that we owe most of american culture ultimately to, and yet hate to talk about.
and I'm not talking the red neck yee haw stuff.. I'm talking Jazz, food, etc
i grew up here, but i'm more at home in louisiana, spent most of my weekends/vacations growing up there
21:15
@KevinB which part? Louisiana is a VERY diverse state
@Mgetz Wait, you're saying hot dogs, apple pie, Budweiser and Kenny G come from Mississippi / Alabama?
Impressive, if true
@Shog9 everything before kenny G is red neck
Kenny G learned Jazz from the greats that came out of the Delta
well except apple pie, that's dutch
Hi there :) I'd have a question about Meta asking - I spotted a bug (well, at least I think it's a bug) which seems to be two related bugs, but possibly not caused by the same thing. Should that be one or two questions?
To clarify this is season 3, episode 17 of "network profile doesn't display the right number of Q/As" - except in the previous questions I found about it, it was alway about a lesser amount being displayed, while in this case, both apply, there's two instances of "less" and one example of ten times more
@Jenayah will it eventually display the right number?
if so.. then eventual consistency
Just report what you see, and be clear about what you'd expect to see
21:23
@Mgetz I dunno
Bonus points if you can provide clear enough instructions that anyone else can see it too
3
Well the "instructions" are basically looking at network profiles links I provide...
@Shog9 I'm going to just assume this is about unicorns, it's not but that doesn't change what I'm assuming.
I tried to catch others but didn't find any, then again I looked at what, ~20 profiles out of the hundreds of thousands on SE
Did you try blaming caching?
21:25
Yep
And?
I spotted that on Monday and waited to see if it faded but didn't
6 to 8 days ...
fair nuff
:P
;)
I'm only joking ...
21:26
I know :P
but obligatory meme is obligatory
Point is, I personally think it is already a miracle user and network profiles are so close in counts.
"Miracle" user perhaps, but not on HSM :D
And I can totally see how fixing one bug opens up a whole can of new corner cases that make those numbers end-up differently, but never the same
99 little bugs in the code, fix 1. 105 little bugs in the code...
like that, yes.
21:31
Houma
did we get rid of the delete icon for comments and replaced it with a boring text link?
YES!
srsly ... :/
It's been that way on the mobile theme for ages, which is great... If you use the mobile theme...
...which I don't
...because half the tools aren't available
21:37
Maybe it shouldn't have the onhover style then ... just saying
THAT CHANGED TOO!
check it out...
@Shog9 can it now be shown on mobile (small) always then?
Stop moving my cheese!
@MEEisJohannGambolputty... try it out...
Brian did some cool stuff with this latest set of changes
actually, uh, responds to the type of screen now
instead of keying off the selected theme (or worse: user agent)
@Shog9 okay, I can get used to that ...
21:43
I mean... They are all Title Case now. But, give 'n take, y'know?
the responsiveness is great.
@Shog9 that is generally nice, but it does not adress the issue of making the screen smaller, at least not in my browser [for example having the browser only on one a half of the screen] :( BTW, what does STC?
short for, "Shocks The Conscience"
it's a cathartic link to click when I see something that shocks the conscience
@Shog9 that is why I can't have nice things
