@JourneymanGeek The biblical law is sort of irrelevant... a bit of a red herring... whether it's morally wrong by the bible doesn't impact the final answer of whether it's illegal by English law.
If it's illegal by English law (which I don't think it is), it could be causally related to the biblical laws but it doesn't matter. Governments more and more aren't bound by religious texts.
Kinda split up the biblical and legal contexts of the question, and dumped the original wording totally. Hopefully it matches OP's intent but I was too lazy to use aibobot for a suggested edit.
Did something change on MSE or is it just my monitor? I can barely distinguish posts which have been deleted. The "red" color is very close to the white
Now, people uppercasing the "b", I'll never get used to.
hehe
> In real life, I'm commonly known as Ben; online, I usually go by the handle of balpha. This goes back to a story from school, where a teacher enumerated the three Benjamins in class using greek letters. I was the first (naturally), hence “Ben alpha”.
So @balpha are you still in touch with Ben Beta and Ben Gamma? ;)
@Derpy better level? Well, looks like that deep dream generator is both more mature, and has whole team working on it, while that cartoonification project is done by a single person.
@Tinkeringbell I think it doesn't really draw anything, just taking existing images and scramble them together.
I really have to get into all this deep learning and machine learning stuff at some point. If you look at how many conference papers were about that at a recent graphics conference. It's insane.
I dunno... I see a lot of 'I don't want to be labelled a new user, I've been here longer than today'... which is why I think the thing focuses on contributions, not users? I kinda like the visual on the actual question/answer, instead of in the first posts queue, so far...
@Somewhat Put it next to the username? :P Facebook does that, and then you only find out why some people wave at you and some don't by hovering over the icon ;)
@Tinkeringbell yeah there are quite a few users who are years in Stack Exchange and labelled now "NEW" in MSE when they posted on the announcement of the NEW indicator, which is weird.
@ShadowWizard Hmmm... what would be the use of that? :P New contributor says to me 'oh hey, new! Hi! Welcome, here's how we do stuff, please stick around!'... Female says to me 'careful, may be on a period and grumpy'? :P
@JourneymanGeek Sure. But I don't mind pointing out that content may be the first time someone actually put content on there, and actively reminding people not to be grumpy? I think once everyone is used to the icon, no one is going to notice and things will be back to normal soon :P
@Somewhat That's kinda what I like about the whole indicator (whether on the post or user)... it gives EVERYONE a reminder, not just the one in the first posts queue. And it's way more visible (annoyingly? :P ) than rep or badges or even edits/votes
Dear collaborator, we thank your for your suggestion. It has been forwarded to the document shredder as per office policies.

but you know, jokes asides, again with the no-preorder thing? I though I left that on Arqade - and its chatroom, which I avoid on purpose - alongside with the "pc master race" comments
Haha, I primarily game on PC, but developed for mostly mobile VR and would have loved to develop for Switch. So that's not something I care about. Game on whatever you like
so, just for fun, what would be the no-preorder reasons this time?
because, you know, someone once tried to tell me that I shouldn't have preorder Project Diva: Future Tone DX because the game could have been bad and I couldn't have know at the time....
You're free to do whatever you want. If there's a good discount and you really want the title, go ahead. It just irks me that there is hardly a physical need any more for preorders. It's a mere AAA quick cash grab in an attempt to please shareholders. Anyway, some stuff there that annoys me, some of it I can't talk about. But do whatever you want. Don't listen to the grumpy guy behind the glasses.
Sorry, I guess that I should have explained it a little more. The funny part about that is that Project Diva is a game that originally released only digitally.
about... TWO years later they had a physical release just for "fans". Very limited quantity.
so basically:
a) it is a rhythm game, b) that I already tried c) that has about **300** songs.
Vocaloid songs I should add, and since I do listen to those... you would probably understand that any "wait to see the game" rant didn't really make any sense in that context.
The game was out and reviewable BEFORE the preorder.
Basically... same thing as the Undertale collector edition thing.
@FélixGagnon-Grenier it was a preorder because I had the order placed before the physical edition was released. But I was fully aware that its content was the same as the digital version + some bonuses.
As I said, same as Undertale.
I knew the game, and I knew I was going to get an additional heart locket replica
I don't preorder simply because i can get the game 40-50% off after 6 months anyway. why rush to get it immediately, it'll still be there in 6 months, or it won't and it wasn't worth buying anyway.
@Shog9 Agree on that but I saw Tim answering a question from that same OP so I assumed that set some benchmark which I tried to reach. I'm not questioning your deletion, I'm wondering if my comment was helpful / inline with what is expected when we encounter a new contributor. If you assume I'm over confident of myself, then that assumption is wrong.
well, I didn't even try to comment on the question he answered but I take it if we conclude he is the Director of Communication and we're not. We have a lot to learn.
Can anyone else check if I hammered this incorrectly? I think the answer from Nicael answers the question. But in the end the why can I only accept one answer is answered by because it is by design?
^^Engaged in a brief comment thread with that user; they were just in the wrong place.
First, if the rationale is that ?noredirect=1 shouldn't work if you'd see a 404 page, why does it work for deleted migration stubs? Second, the only reason one would go to a URL with that parameter is if they want to access the page for some other technical reason; I don't see a reason why adding it should continue to redirect, as it contradicts the expected behavior. — Sonic the Inclusive Hedgehog23 mins ago
I already get an inbox message when you comment on one of my posts; you don't need to ping me again here to add a second inbox message asking me to read the first one.
@rene not a dupe IMO. It is asking why without suggesting to change this behavior. "This is by design" is not valid answer either, whole point is the reasoning behind this behavior. Valid question and if I will have time might throw answer.
heh, I actually have never done that, and it seems that lots of people spin new accounts. might try it some day, but I'm somewhat afraid my activity would appear strange...
@rene well most can be safely removed, except this one:
Because ultimately the SE design philosophy is that a single question has a single best answer. And I think awarding excellent answers is a perfect reason for a bounty. And I don't understand the "winner takes it all" remark. Is that still about content of posts? — rene3 hours ago
This can become an answer, with some polish.
@FélixGagnon-Grenier try it. Fun is almost guaranteed. :D
@SonictheInclusiveHedgehog But you haven't actually flagged them and Shog isn't the only person who might handle said flags. By only pinging him, you're singling him out for work that someone else could do should they look at the flag queue.
@rene Made a new post on which sites have syntax highlighting enabled, with the help of your script for finding sites with MathJax enabled: meta.stackexchange.com/questions/314553/…
The code syntax highlighting feature is only enabled on certain sites. In order for code to be highlighted and for any of the hints listed in the above question to work, the Markdown extension has to be enabled on the site where one's posting code.
Which sites have this enabled?
