not much to say, it was a pretty linear and predictable episode.

The second Thorax appear on screen, you already know Spike will go paranoid without reason.

What gets me wondering is just one thing.

Pretty sure Starpony didn't foresaw the outcome. But it would seem that Twilight did

Am I mistaken or basically she already knew that the paranoia was just in Spike mind the second she saw the map (and maybe even before that?)

Once again, the line "you solved the problem you created" seemed pretty planned.

@Derpy Isn't that episode 15 "Triple Threat"? There's a lot of mixup with episode numbers this season, with videos appearing with the wrong episode number.

Part of that is because the early spoilers had wrong numbers for some of the episodes too.

@Derpy Um, I knew he'd get paranoid because I've read the TV guide description.

So anyway, about this episode. Many people complain that when Spike gets his own episode, he always gets to play the idiot ball guy of the day. This time too, it was him who invited both Thorax and Ember, and he was the one who got all paranoid.

I'd like to mention though that by now Spike is influential enough that when he gets paranoid about visitors, he can get other ponies to unquestioningly follow his ideas about how to treat the visitors. Do you recall S5 E11 Party Pooped when Twilight did the same thing?

In S7 E11, Pinkie asked Twilight nicely to get the "official friendship ambassador" title. At the start of this episode, Spike is already "official friendship ambassador". I be he asked Twilight to become one as well after Pinkie got that status.

As soon as they sent Thorax to the castle to divert him from Ember, I thought that was a mistake, and they should send Ember to the castle and Thorax to the spa. I was right, because Ember indeed enjoyed the castle when he got there.

Those crystals the castle grows are really tasty.

Was it confusing to you when Spike's spikes began to glow, but it didn't mean that the dragon queen Ember was summoning him, but that the map was?

Thorax tried to scare a dragon queen by shapechanging to a scary animal and growling. That was really futile.

@b_jonas are you sure he was the one? Lot of other possibilities:

Some people saw Starlight's behavior as an improvement here, because he genuinely tried to help without bringing in some heavy mind control spells.

@Derpy Inviting both of them wasn't the idiotic part. His behavior in the episode about how he treated them was. Even if he thinks they wouldn't like each other's company, he could have just told both of them about the mistake and apologized and then sent each of them to whatever programs he wants and spend half of the day with them, instead of doing the sitcom act of trying to keep them away from each other.

@b_jonas at least she didn't eat the hanging ones in the map room. If she did, we would probably now have one less dragon on "earth" and one new dragon on "moon"

@Derpy I'm not sure if that would matter that much. They might have more copies of those memories somewhere, and I don't think Twilight would mind a few bitten ones anyway.

@Derpy What would "banish" even mean? She doesn't even live in Equestria. She lives in the dragon lands normally, and the ponies or fans don't have any control over that.

@b_jonas Just wait for the season 8 premiere when the Equestrian Princess Derpy's Army for Muffin Protection will move war to the dragon empire.

Hmm, can the yaks even use their trample attack while flying?

@b_jonas Yaks eat cakes too, so they obviously would join the ponies. I mean, those dragons eat rocks.

@Derpy Ponies eat rocks too, and since yaks eat snow as well, they can probably eat crystals too.

Besides, the dragons want to turn the ponies to their slaves and plunder their resources, so if the yaks join them, the yaks could get all the cake the ponies have.

But yaks might not want that, because they might only eat their own cake, they don't trust the ponies to get the vanilla extract balance right.

somepony should test if the yaks can handle the "Backed Bads"

@Derpy Wait, which one is the baked bads? The one in the town while it was still equalized in S5, or the one Pinkie made with tired Applejack's help in S1, or the gryphon scones without baking soda in S5, or the cupcakes Apple Bloom made in S1, or the strawberry cinnamon cilantro cakes Pinkie baked in S5? There's so much bad food in MLP.

Right, the one Pinkie made with Applejack's help explicitly had earthworms in it.

Yeah. That just wasn't the one I was thinking of. The whole town ate of those, so they probably didn't taste too bad. The one in our town seemed to have a worse taste.

@b_jonas the whole town got ILL after eating those. Remeber? Nurse Red Heart had to call Twily to help...

They are the only food that managed to put Pinkie out of commission.

on a side related note. I will keep my comments on the next episode for another time, but it seems that Campfire Stories confirms that the comics are canon. Waiting for Radiant Hope to visit in the animated show.

@Derpy The comics definitely seem to tie in more closely to the episodes this season.

@b_jonas I suggest you look at "Legends of Magic" issues #2, #3 and #4....

And as for saving comments to later, you know you'll have to catch up because you're still behind by like 8 episodes of the main show with the comments, plus 3 episodes and 16 shorts of EG5. And the internet is full of spoilers, including for the remaining three episodes of the season and the movie.

There are even spoilers about S8.

@b_jonas Unless the movie does indeed feature an alicorn called "Cosmo" who is revealed to be father/mother of Luna&Celestia I wouldn't really trust spoilers that come out so early.

@Derpy The movie was already shown in the cinemas, so any spoilers now are not early.

I haven't seen it yet, I won't be able to until it appears on the internet, which will probably be after it is published on itunes or something.
