Is there a short template here somewhere on how to write SE user scripts? I'm trying to write a really simple one, but I'm failing miserably. It probably doesn't help that I know almost nothing about JS, CSS and HTML.

I'm basically just trying to unbold the rep.

I recommend Stylish if only for replacing style (CSS), but that's maybe another extension installed.

I have a habit: after suggesting an edit I click the words "peer reviewed" to see the diff of my suggestion. Just in case I messed it up. I think this is a pretty normal thing to do, I'd certainly do the same with any PR I send.

Problem is: as of today, the page with the diff looks like this, totally faded out. What gives?

Do you use GreaseMonkey or Tampermonkey? What browser?

Dragging a .user.js file into Chrome. It gets enabled fine, it just doesn't seem to do anything.

Without userscript managers you don't have things like GM_addStyle. It would be plain JS like document.querySelector("div.-rep.js-header-rep").style["font-weight"] = "normal"

But generally, once one begins tinkering with scripts, it's hard to stop, so getting a manager like TamperMonkey makes sense.

I was doing some JS things, I suspect the problem is more that Chrome lies about enabling scripts and later auto-disables them.

For how long will Gmail continue to put Google's own messages about new logins to my account into Spam? This way I won't get a notification if this really happens from elsewhere (however unlikely with 2FA). Too much security overflows and becomes negative.

only delete. But there are a lot of mods across sites there so if something needs nuking there enough hands

Delete times are quick

spam mostly only lives for a minute or so

but the bot only detects some abuse cases, not all

so you need a user to report it first
