@TheLittleNaruto some local TV channel decided to create an online channel on DailyMotion instead of youtube for reasons I don't get. Also, there are some music artist that I know of that seems to post their remixes only on dailymotion.

so it is just one of the sites I don't really want to browse but sometime have to.

DeviantArt would probably fall in the same category. That is, if I hadn't decided to try to avoid it in the first place.

@TheLittleNaruto based on some clues it seems they had some problem with youtube wrongly removing some of their content due to alleged copyright violations. They had to explain that they were indeed licensed to publish the content and then probably move off when they had to wait weeks for the content to be restored.

That said, take these info with a grain of salt - those are only theories based on some of the comments they made on the channel
