Another option is to put all textboxes inside a container, give the container ID, then use document.querySelectorAll to grab the textboxes. See jsfiddle.net/nmfbLevs/1. @Dro

Advantage is you don't need to change or add anything to the textbox itself.

@ShadowWizard sometimes, its easy and good (when I am getting things done). There is a plugin for everything. Everything is done by clicks. I sometimes hate that. I am command line kind of guy and clicks to me are things that are done inside black-box and I hate the things that I don't understand

At some point, the classes were deprecated, and google forced their own classes and I was too busy/lazy to re-write with new classes, so went for library. After that, I am just hooked on that

umm....do you know, apple (iphones) have most of the things hard-coded in their sdk. They "define" how you "do" a certain thing. When you submit app, and you haven't done something their way, they'll go through code and reject your app submital

if you make your own library for doing something, they'll sometime reject that too (like if that library is doing something that's "not" their way)

and libraries available are only ones, that got approval from apple (though they are mostly enough)

so, if some library doesn't do something that you want, and you write your own code for it, but apple disaproves of it, then you are doomed

Future is also autonomous cars, that's where the big money will come from.

IMO smartphones will vanish in 10-20 years, replaced by a permanent chip inside the body.

(and of course all the apps will be available in front of our eyes, using VR)

@ShadowWizard umm.....actually, that's only for few select (though because of population, that few select are many). On average, the blue collar workers have worst working conditions. There are 35 hour working shifts in companies (hence cheap chinese products and flourishing economy), no place for individual development, very less pay scales. Ever wondered, if china is such flourishing economy, then why are chinese leaving their country and getting PRs in USA, cannada at first chance they get?
