how do we know santa is not a plumber in his normal life?

@Telkitty Mario's long lost other brother?
I wonder if area51.stackexchange.com/proposals/44577/… wouldve worked if there were a way to anonymous usernames and keep posts separate from real accounts.
I would loooove that site right about now, lol.

@JasonC speaking of which, santa does look like an older version of mario

4:07 AM
@Telkitty Thats what I'm sayin! The resemblance is uncanny. I think we're on to something here.
Plus I bet more houses have plumbing than have chimneys. He's gotta find another way in.
It'sa meeee, Sanntaaaa
Rudolph the red nosed koopa troopa
Well, realistically it'd probably be yoshis.
Realistically.

I have been thinking ... bowser captured peach for such a long time, I mean ... sounds like the story of beauty and beast

50 shades of beauty & beast - a story about bowser & peach. It's like beauty & beast meets 50 shades of grey.

not enough to cast closing votes yet

Isn't it a great time to hike now? Assuming most people will stay at home with friends and family?

user202362
by myself, at 6:25pm when it's raining, great idea!

user202362
I have stuff to do ... but in the lazy mode

@Telkitty you can rely on me for great idea's ...

of course, as always ...

@Telkitty yes, I came here because I needed to do the dishes ...

... and it sounds awfully close

Just count the seconds between flash and thunder. If it is 1 second you might get hit, beyond that ... meh ...

@rene you are such a genius! I am currently working on 2 apps, and electricity supply exactly stopped twice. coincidence? I think not!

blush

user202362
One of them, I am trying to solve the problem by communicating with support once a day. The other one I have not touched for 5 years and it uses extensive amount of libraries . Neither makes money for me.

user202362
But as a hoarder, I will keep maintaining whatever crap apps that I have made

iThinkOfSwitchingTo underscore_separated_names in JS, seems easier to read. What could go wrong?

4:47 PM
@zaq Inconsistency with browsers' or other people's names.
Camel case is industry standard.

user315433
But maybe it's not such a good standard...

user315433
Yes, that's even better. Demand spaces in variable names.

5:02 PM
you can star the following message:
Jeff Atwood on November 25, 2008
I was surprised to find the following question on Stack Overflow:

JS's stdlib is 100% camelCase, I think that's reason enough to use it in your own code, too. For filenames I'd use snake_case though.

5:12 PM
Is JS still a thing? I hoped that by now something better would have reached mainstream. Maybe next year ....

user315433
Apparently it is, but perhaps not for much longer...

> Look, it’s easy. Code everything in Typescript. All modules that use Fetch compile them to target ES6, transpile them with Babel on a stage-3 preset, and load them with SystemJS. If you don’t have Fetch, polyfill it, or use Bluebird, Request or Axios, and handle all your promises with await.

Just wondering, if Jeff Atwood said that Jon Skeet Facts was pretty on-topic, could we do one for each moderator and for each person in the top 20?

user315433
> This question exists because it has historical significance, but it is not considered a good, on-topic question for this site, so please do not use it as evidence that you can ask similar questions here. -- meta.stackexchange.com/q/9134

Jeff Atwood left Stack Exchange in 2012.

user315433
SO's post-Jeff phase is more than half its total lifespan.

Jon Skeet fact: Jon Skeet will be getting Yearling badges for more than 4500 years, unless the logic of the badge is changed.

user315433
This is ignoring future reputation gains. One only needs 200 rep per year to keep getting Yearling, and he's getting that much in a day without even posting, so...

The 2015 releases are past their end-of-life, btw.

@zaq I can see it fine.

user315433
Oh, the 17.04 is already named, Zesty Zapus. That's it for Ubuntu, no more letters left...

Humans have 18 teeth… for some time.

user315433
And then some of them have 18 again... or even fewer.

@zaq no repro in chrome

Apparently, the "dev" part was alienating people who do not identify as developers.

That's incredibly dumb.

Oh well. Not clear if mods would be able to do anything about this, anyway.
