On most of the stacks I've been on, basically, on the main site, votes represent whether or not people want the content there. Contrariwise, on the meta sites, votes represent whether or not people agree with the material, whether or not they want it there.
Of course this may not be the case on all stacks.
Basically, my question is, which way does meta.SE function?
So far, my posts haven't gone very far. I'm just kind of wondering is it because I've got the wrong mentality about meta.SE, is there something I'm missing, or is it just that what happens to have happened because my ideas in particular haven't been liked?
