Looks like this room's turning a bit volatile
It seems MO is pretty dead for a chat point of view too

Looks like a long long monologue. Nate is level-headed, I'd vote for him as a mod any time.

level-headed enough to leave the conversation

user315433
MO has one active room, "homotopy theory". Not a general room, a few chat-inclined people happen to share interest in this topic. Not much else.

barely active. their main room is nearly frozen too

let's find out whether spammers are really brainless ... maybe they will find a way to send more spams or maybe the 2 reps huddle is too much for them ... assume it's still the 2 reps huddle to ask questions?

what gives you 1 rep anyway (without getting more rep and then downvoting or doing another action to reduce it)

@JamesENL he co-wrote a few perl books and had to battle many bears outside his fence at home, how could you not know that he's well known in the perl community and not for fighting the bears?

@Telkitty Honestly, I knew the bear part, I didn't know the perl part

@hichris123 The actual CV queue is like 30 times larger.

did he cowrite the perl books with the bears?

@bjb568 No, that is the "actual" queue since votes & flags all age away.
@Quill I think with camels... :P

@hichris123 If they didn't age away, it'd be the real real queue.

user202362
1:36 AM
@Quill he probably co-write the perl books while trying to outsmart the bears, yes

user315433
@hichris123 Votes & flags aged away earlier, too; the size of the queue is controlled by review tasks aging away.

@Meta Prior to the un-fuzzying change, flags didn't age away. I was trying to say that you really can't reconstruct an "actual" queue nowadays (with internal data maybe, but almost all questions with close votes/flags in SEDE would be in the queue).

Q: Age close votes after 14 days, regardless of views, allowing recasting

Shog9I've been putting this off for a long time... Close vote aging - the deactivation of votes that haven't resulted in a question being closed - is a critical part of the vote-to-close system, but has something of a troubled history: all too often, it has been more annoying than useful, capricious...

user315433
Right, flag aging is a relatively new thing.

user315433
Most questions in CVR really aren't worth looking at; so it's just as well that they don't get reviewed.

And brush turkeys - yep, large version of chickens.

PillarThis user was able to ask two dupli-cate questions (now deleted, there was a triplicate 2 hours earlier) within 10 minutes of each other. The limit seems to be Users < 125 rep, 20 minutes (90 minutes on Stack Overflow) How did they bypass this limit?

I wonder how many spam bots will break tonight because of the rep limit on mSE.

MSE's privilege page is always weird. Create post at 1 (currently 2) rep, participate at 5 rep.
Certainly those who asked off-topic questions couldn't participate in meta

@Martin It's possible that some metadata on the SE pages changed since 2014, when the second post was captured. Facebook grabs some data from a shared page to generate its timeline card, it does not keep updating the card. This may be the reason. If the icon is missing from some recently shared pages, that would be something to look at.

user315433
Hm, a look at facebook.com/stackexchange/?fref=nf does not confirm my theory.

@Meta Maybe it is possible that it has something to do with changes I have mentioned in this post. But it is strange that some of old posts are working and some are not. (So the answer is not going to be something like: This will happen for all posts from March 2015 and older because...)
