I mean, quoting messages works that way...

We should get extra stars that can only be used on posts that were already starred.
So, I have 20 stars per day.
Say I use them up.

yes, because we clearly need more stars around here...

@balpha Yea but when people star things, if I feel like starring it, I'll be out of stars.
It's not like stars are used (at least in the Tavern) for serious things.

Well it might cut down on the "Tyler, pin this!" messages...

@RebeccaChernoff I did already resolve to stop that.
But the extra stars should only be used on things that were already starred.
10 "weak stars" that only "stick" if they are not the first.

Or, you could just not star as much right at the start of the day so that you have some to use the other 23 hours of the day.

@RebeccaChernoff Fair enough.
<rant>I wonder what would happen if stars were unlimited? Perhaps they would be worthless and the abuse would stop. </rant>

Or you could just not abuse them now. (;
I know, I have such radical ideas.

@RebeccaChernoff Alright, I'll try.
Eh, it was worth asking.

Well, I'm not the one that codes chat.
So maybe @balpha doesn't think it is as preposterous as I do.

@RebeccaChernoff I have more faith in @balpha than that.

I consider my preposterousness to be far more advanced than @RebeccaChernoff's

Yes, but notice that I'm leaving the possibility open. This means that @balpha is the one that may totally dash any hopes of the feature being implemented.
It is all about leaving that tiny sliver of hope alive so that someone else gets blamed. q:

If @RebeccaChernoff didn't post so many star honeypots (commonly called "oy") there would be enough stars for everyone

@RebeccaChernoff Ah, you're clearly learning well then :P
