@NormalHuman We don't get email in body on stack overflow?

user259867
Way too many false positives on sites that have to do with web development. Email-in-body is actually the worst performing filter even after they are excluded.

@NormalHuman I see so many garbage answers that have email in body, but I suppose I don't notice the false positives because they are in code blocks.

user259867
1:22 PM
(a) setting up or processing email; (b) email-like syntax of commands or URL parameters; (c) harmless inclusion of email in questions, that only needs to be edited out.

@rene The maximum chat message length is 250 bananas or 500 UTF-16 code units.
They don’t count characters.

@tchrist OK, so I have 500 things here ... right?
If I'm lucky 500 might work, to be 100% safe and never fail assume 250?

@rene Essentially.

1:32 PM
OK

Note that in the transcript you actually have \N{ZERO WIDTH NON-JOINER}\N{ZERO WIDTH SPACE} there.

Oh, I didn't submit that on purpose...

@rene It depends on what you are doing, how you are counting things.

Code points above U+FFFF occupy two code-units in UTF-16; those below, one.

@tchrist I want to post a message but I don't know upfront what will be in it. So I'm going to append to a string. I'm planning on using a javascript String.length to determine if I'm within limits. I don't think Im going to have code points above U+FFFF

1:39 PM
@rene I think Javascript String.length may be code units anyways. Not sure.
But if so, it's what you need already.

@tchrist being javascript I wouldn't be surprised if the implementation differs between engines...

OK, let's hope for the best ;)

Q: How to create a view following an object

lol
but how it should be, @Pro?

3:12 PM
It should be no.

Why? All spells are related to WAG?

@ShadowWizard Most. But if you don't want to take part of the game, you don't want to be bothered with those spells, right?

@ProgramFOX yeah, good point

user259867
@SmokeDetector Please don't report harmless NAAs. You see it, you flag it. That's enough.

3:13 PM
Guess what? I think I accidentally removed the code to check for spells, so @SPArchaeologist's point is right. >_>

^ flash forward about 6-8 month in the future to understand this one...

user259867
Doesn't look like rude/abusive to me. It's a critical remark about a company.

@SPArchaeologist will try and remember to check in 6-8 months then ;)

@NormalHuman It's not the thought behind the comment, it's the phrasing of the comment. "What kind of a company?" etc.

user259867
What kind of a company puts logo redesign a higher priority than "Ask Question" page redesign?

user259867
prepares to be flagged

3:19 PM
You could say instead "Microsoft really should provide a way..."
The way it's phrased is not constructive.
Of course, if it were phrased constructively it would still be NAA, but as it was I reported it as rude.

Nothing, because of how API works
So now its a bot
(Running on me first)

What do you mean how the API works? You can flag via the API

Yes, but its a server side app
No client at all

So?

Flagging is writing, and needs a code

@ShadowWizard To help Fox. Just know that the spell idea was specifically aimed at you, much like "Ninja" was a present for Droid. The difference is that your spell is much more specifically aimed at something you like.
Good luck.
