Q: Should username whose delete their profile be highlighted in comments as well?

OokerFor example, take a look at this question: Free web hosting for academics User102 is the one ask this question. They has deleted their profile. But they are also the OP. Should their name be highlighted in their comments as other user as well?

I sometimes see those, and then say to myself: Why the heck should we?

A: Would you play a Stack Overflow board game?

KevinWhat would you think about a game around building Stack Overflow where each person plays a Jeff. I see it as a cross between The Settlers of Catan and Monopoly, where you have to accomplish certain tasks in order to win (like building the servers, writing the code, etc.) There could be like fate ...

@inɒzɘmɒЯ.A.M No, it's an all-caps title. Also "Nitro" is a bad keyword, but since there already was one, redundancy was suppressed. I think...
!!/test Nitro
> Would not be caught for title, body and username.
Oh. Maybe it should be.
Was it wrong for me to just search for and VTC 15 or so off-topic questions on MSE?
It's the fact that I searched for them that's caught me...
5:58 PM
Very wrong. I think they're already at your door @ᔕᖺᘎᕊ.
Run while you can.
@ᔕᖺᘎᕊ Depends on what they were. It could be wrong.
Or rather, pointless.
I didn't edit the question. Someone decided to create busywork for me by closing it, and I reopened because I have enough busywork; the edits were made by someone else, and seem helpful enough. — Shog9 ♦ 2 days ago

A: Is closing old questions a gigantic waste of time and effort?

Shog9It's hardly the first time I've said something like this... Personally though, I don't think it matters. A question that struggles to get even 100 viewers period isn't exactly poisoning the air on the site - no one's looking at it! The most problematic posts are the ones that get in the way...

balphaI've been meaning to make this change for a while, so this was a good nudge to finally do it: From the next build on, if a comment thread contains a comment by a user whose name starts with a non-ASCII letter, then just typing @ will bring the tab completer up with that name: If all reply can...

@NormalHuman I don't know. All I do know is that the Almighty Shog enabled them on Puzzling at request, so I'd imagine that'd probably happened at least once before (again, can't be sure).

@Mysticial - To be honest, I don't know that I've ever seen that happen. Almost all people trying to manipulate the voting system are extremely lazy. These aren't criminal masterminds we're dealing with. We're talking about people who create sock puppet accounts that have the exact same name as their main account. My personal favorite was [username]'s sock puppet that was named "[username] vote up account". — Brad Larson ♦ 3 hours ago

in 2015 Computer Science Election on The Stack Exchange Network Chat, 21 hours ago, by Grace Note
@Jake If not enough people nominate (at least 4 people in this case), we extend the nomination phase an extra week. If there's still not enough after that, we cancel the election and start trying to figure out why there's not enough interest in moderation in the community.
Good to have it documented somewhere.

A quick check of the logs shows 70% of page views network-wide hitting Stack Overflow yesterday, @gnat; no doubt this varies over time of course, and even if it were consistent that'd be no reason to ignore the needs of other sites... However, the median # of comments per post is between 1 and 3 network-wide, and on all but 32 sites 90% of posts get 5 or fewer comments. For VLQ/NAA-flagged posts specifically, only 7 sites have less than 90% of posts with 5 or fewer comments. It is an edge-case of an edge-case. — Shog9 ♦ 4 hours ago
