@Braiam They just dropped the formatting, so it came out as one line.

user259867
And I can't suggest an edit to fix that because of char limit.

I love the dilemma of changing things from ES5 to ES6. If Chrome changes the date parsing scheme to follow ES6's standard, it likely breaks more than a few JS applications, since a date string without any timezone specified would be interpreted as the local timezone, not UTC.

inb4 Google makes a poll on fetched js for uses of date()

Chrome does have a system for tracking uses of Javascript functions, so the team knows which are safe to be depreciated. (i.e. there's no standard for the function & there's little use)

Ugh, I better prepare for that now. A couple of my scripts rely on 2015-07-19 being recognized as UTC date stamp...

user259867
But I welcome having saner parsing rules. The current state of "2015-10-31 is UTC but 2015-11-1 is local" is worse.

@NormalHuman Just change it to 2015-07-19Z & it'll be okay.
@NormalHuman Hrm? I just tried that & it spit out UTC for both.

@hichris123 In Chrome 43 console.

user259867
Maybe it's already different in 44?!

9:44 PM
Oh, I see.
I did 2015-11-01.

user259867
Yeah, that's the catch.

user259867
If one builds a date string by concatenating .getMonth and such output from elsewhere, it naturally ends up without leading zeros.

Ah.

user259867
Not that I would ever do such a sloppy thing. whistles

And this is just to sign up for a training session for their web app. How does their software itself work?...

If it works on IE: Witchcraft.

CaptainCodemanNobody cares about your chronic illness. The world favors the strong, not the weak. So stop crying about what you can't do and try to make the most of what you can do.

Abusive flags please.

@Braiam We can still delete the ones we find to be unhelpful. If a question uses exactly the same keywords as another, i.e., it should have turned up the original question in a search, we can just delete it. — Bill the Lizard Jul 8 '14 at 1:17

@Undo You can tell that this user is systematically going to each site he is a member of and getting himself suspended there. Perhaps TBTB can save him some bile with a nice network-wide suspension.

@tchrist We're working on it.
It's harder than you'd think to get ahold of a CM on a sunday night

I'm trying to understand when own deleted posts are shown non-linked in the reputation history on the user profile.

user259867
Current conjecture: answers are linked, questions are not.

He's suspended network-wide. That was fun.
