@MRS1367 ok, think I got it now. Basically, what is happening now is that when you debug your solution Visual Studio automatically deploys your package to the SharePoint farm you are using

problem is, when you are done with debug it also retracts the solution.

when you are done with development you will need to create the .wsp package for your solution. There should be a command labeled "publish" in the contextual menu you get by right clicking the solution project.

that command will create a file with extension .wsp

that file is your solution. You will have to install on you target SharePoint farm

@MRS1367 you can and you have multiple ways to do so, depending on your environment.

if it is just a dev machine you can just modify the web.config for the web app you are using via IIS Manager

if it is a production environment we are talking of, things are different.

based on your (or your client) policies you may want to modify the config by hand or programmatically in your solution

pretty difficult to pinpoint like that. For starters, do the view the query is based on include the expected items? Also... is the title equal to the value you search or the value is contained in the title?
