interesting, can 1 rep user flag chat messages?
You have to have chat privileges to flag I thought.
so... who flagged Shog's message??
I did but I thought I'd have a chance to type a reason.
That's your other flag button, @JasonC.
10:03 PM
However, us actually talking about it right now is precisely the opposite effect.
Yeah I dunno I'm not really a pro chat flagger.
How to Chat Flag: 3rd edition
I'd buy it.
so you find official message by SE employee banning someone to be offensive?

@ShadowWizard You'll just have to deal with not knowing why I pressed that button.
sure
@JasonC you sure know how to press my buttons :D
Are you hitting on me?
Can you explain what emotion you felt when you clicked that button?
Please elaborate
@JasonC no, that's just my drum
10:06 PM
Disgust, mostly.
Why?
Do you often feel disgusted?
That's for me to know.
Hi ELIZA!
Think about flowers, it helps to overcome such feelings
There is no Eliza in this room
10:08 PM
No, but 1+1 = 3.
There is an Eliza in every room.
Anyone can be Eliza
I lost my keys and autoflagged every message in the transcript.
Were your feelings internal or external motivated?
Don't change the topic!
@ShadowWizard That sounds so ominous.
10:09 PM
@rene - Sorry! Jeez. Didn't realize you were so into this.
Is it showing?
Armor ✓

Roleplay on!
Even among friends, an Eliza may be lurking, waiting for you to drop your guard.
So, @rene is an ELIZA bot now
10:11 PM
I miss that expert chat system.
It really helped me solve all my problems.
I can be anything I want
!xkcd find roleplay
@rene even a sock?
I want to see Eliza battle Dr. Sbaitso.
10:12 PM
@ShadowWizard No, that is gross, to be on some ones foot
oh no, forgot I got to go take a shower. cya! (might be back)
lol! @ hey, no recursing
@ShadowWizard :/ sniff, time to say goodbye
@TravisJ I like recursion :D
I didn't dare to ask about the smell
10:13 PM
hm, no arrow though it just converted it to a self ping
@TravisJ as long as it is not @Infinite
Wow. Nostalgia attack:
It is a tail recursion. It breaks out at the very end of your memory.
@JasonC Been doing 70 - 80 hr. weeks here...
He lives!

Hi Frank!
Hi:)
user259867
On stackexchange.com/filters one can set up a filter "questions with favorite tags on every site". Apparently, there is no filter "questions with favorite tags on these sites". Am I missing something? As is, the feature is not really useful when some of the sites/tag combinations throw questions from a firehose.
@Yes I suppose you could set up a custom filter with a rule for each site, entering your favorite tags per site manually. I think that's as close as you can get.
@AlexisKing It would probably work better if you used the right commands...
@AstroCB shut up, your bot should be able to read my mind and nothing less
10:31 PM
It should accept search as a valid command now, though.
Can the OP edit a locked post?
user259867
@JasonC Hrm. One filter can still do the job, as it can contain multiple site/tag combos. Maybe I should script the filter creation interface...
user259867
@JasonC Nobody edits locked posts.
user259867
Except moderators, possibly.
user259867
Indeed, it's not unusual to lock a post precisely to stop the OP from vandalizing it.
10:33 PM
@Yes Yeah that's what I mean; one filter with multiple rules. A script would be pretty cool. You can scrape the "show details" button at stackexchange.com/filters/143900/favorite-tags. I can't find an API call for favorite tags but I didn't look hard.
I think the "favorite tags" filter is just an automated regular filter.
(My link was supposed to go to the "favorite tags" btw, but it has a filter ID in it so maybe the link is only valid for me)
user259867
@JasonC It is the link to your favorite tags filter (which is publicly visible). It's mostly like a regular filter, except it syncs with your favorite tags and can't be edited manually.
@JasonC Same here even tho I didn't exist in that era.
@bjb568 It also brings back memories of the smell of 5.25" disk plastic, mod trackers, epic megagames, apogee (original duke nukem), oh man.
Setting up soundblaster interrupts and hardware addresses. Oh the fun.
I miss the magic of owning a soundcard, the actual music and poorly sampled voices instead of square wave beeps.
10:53 PM
@JasonC the mod tracker UI things look better than current windows

@Yes "Tavern" explains all the crazy. :P
Replying to @Yes is annoying because it looks like I'm just constantly agreeing with things.
Is a comma a valid character in a display name?
user259867
No,
user259867
11:05 PM
> Display Name can only contain letters, digits, spaces, apostrophes or hyphens and must start with a letter or digit
Lame.
I guess an apostrophe is sort of like an upside down comma.
u r amaze
It,s not.

The new prev/next buttons are addicting. I got my IP banned for a minute.

I don't have them. Feeling unworthy.
Lol
It's so nice out, I'm going to go walk off the feelings of disgust that @rene will never learn more about. Peace.

> See w3schools.com/xpath for more information on XPath. -- from Google documentation :/
Is it that nobody uses xPath because only w3schools documents it, or that only w3schools can be bothered to document something as little used as xPath?
user259867
user259867
It seems useful for scraping the content of arbitrary pages into a Google Spreadsheet with importxml. (The importhtml command only scrapes tables and lists.)
user259867
My current project is to tie together a few Google services for better visualization of SE sites stats.
@Yes finally. I remember it only linking to w3schools for documentation
11:51 PM

uh…
Huh, I got my first Announcer badge for a question I have zero recollection of.
I hereby call the left/right arrows
What's wrong with prev/next buttons?
