@ShadowWizard I am Hindu, but I have never heard of prohibition of tattoos in our religion, however it is not considered very good in our society back in my village or at many places in India.

Even Indian army doesn't recruit anybody with permanent tattoo

That's why I haven't one, because I also plan on going in army someday soon

@ShadowWizard also, there are many other prohibitions in Hindu religion. But no solid proof or reason to back them. Because it is too old religion, having many gospels to back those prohibition and people don't read them all and just know the prohibitions because their elders told them so.

@DroidDev don't mind at all! Actually in Israel every boy must join the army when 18, and serve at least 3 years. So I just followed the rules, nothing more. Many object to this and find ways out, e.g. faking mental illness or permanent health issues.
