12:02 AM
Whenever I move out, I'm going to take all this crappy furniture out into the back yard and introduce it to Mr. Sledgehammer...

12:14 AM
Gah! Every time I ask someone "When did this happen?" they always reply with "Well didn't you see my Facebook?" - No, I didn't! I don't like Facebook!

1:03 AM
Who doesn't like Facebook? It's awesome.

1:23 AM
Who let that monkey in here? This is a place of...uh...business?

2 hours later…
3:07 AM
Ooo Ooo Aaa Aaa

2 hours later…
5:26 AM
Eee Eee Eee

5:50 AM
Ergh, sites really need to come up with a better way to prove your identity than stupid, hard-to-remember "personal questions" that oftentimes don't mean anything to you.
I guess they don't really want my money. :P

3 hours later…
8:53 AM
I fail on most of such security questions.
"Last 4 digits of your identity card" - ohh, I got a new one in the mean time.
"Name of your first pet" - never had one.

"Mother's maiden name" - she left me before I was born

Look it up on facebook. everyone does.
Just googled "worst security questions". Yeah

Hi!

Hola

I am posting a question about merging two tags in SO, should I tag it as feature-request? Or under "discussion"?

9:07 AM

@Oded: Thanks a lot mate :)

thank you :)

Hello

Good day

9:21 AM
commo esta

Seems we have one of them there not American speaking foreign types there.

sure

1 hour later…
10:45 AM
HI, I'm tryning to make a question
but i can't tag the question
so, I can't post the question
someone knows why this is happpening?
I don't have enought reputation to do it?

There is a bug in the recent build - we are working on it and it should be fixed soon, @Butzke

you can enter the tags yourself with bug etc.
tagging with more than 1 tag? I'm not sure.

@JohannesKuhn - that should still work.

Are there any rules for profile names and profanity? I've seen a few discussions on Meta, but they usually discuss the profile text, not the name itself.

tags working again for me.

@Butzke - fixed

11:20 AM
@AndersUP: They should be SFW. "Harshit" would be acceptable (imagine the uproar from the indian users if such a common name was disallowed) but "wetcunt" wouldn't.

@Oded Thanks!

So basically, if you think a name is really problematic flag one of the posts. If we agree we'll let the user know and/or change his username to a generic one.

I'm thinking of this guy: stackoverflow.com/users/2862168

Can't flag it, because of meta.stackoverflow.com/q/200095/213634 - his only answer has been removed.

11:21 AM
I don's see any problem with it O:) (thanks for letting us know, that username was clearly not appropriate)

hehe
cool.

2 hours later…
1:05 PM
@ThiefMaster would this be considered offensive, or is that okay? It seems some users are offended by it: meta.stackoverflow.com/users/236100

1:41 PM
I don't have a problem with it but I'm sure e.g. lance does

1 hour later…
2:50 PM
Haha @ThiefMaster. Not just Lance though.

4 hours later…
6:27 PM
I'm offended by @Bart's username. It reminds of Bart Simpson, who is very disrespectful to his parents.
I'm also offended by his job title.

6:43 PM
kayumanggi

@jadarnel27 Inorite

> We won't spam you, promise. we hate spam as much as you do.
The lack of capitalization isn't very promising.

-------> sigh

@animuson I seem to recall reading that somewhere...

6:51 PM
You know what's offensive @jadarnel27? Your face.

Ah, wasn't in relation to Bitcoins. I guess that thinly veiled promise is quite common. :P

Bitcoins.com.... Sounds sketchy.

If I could flag it for moderator attention I would

Virtual currency? Sketchy?

(...Says the guy who just wrote a wordpress plugin for a bitcoin related API)
Wordpress... shudder

7:04 PM
That hurts my feelings, @Bart. Shame on you.
My therapist is gonna hear about this.

And with that, my job is done.

Harsh, man. Harsh.

Though your therapist should really pay me more than he does

Note to self: never run for any form of public office. Nonsense like this will haunt you.
"We have dug up evidence of you as a cyber bully, referred to as Señor Douchebag..."

7:10 PM

hahahaha

1 hour later…
8:27 PM
LOL @Bart please change your display name on Meta to "Señor Douchebag" =)

3 hours later…
11:12 PM
If I submit a drawing and say its original size was A4, will an American know what I mean?
Seeing as it doesn't seem to be the prevailing format here
A4 is almost Letter size, but not quite

@perhapsPekka Submit it where?
For instance, if you submitted it to me, I would not know what that meant.
=)

11:26 PM
@jadarnel27 oh ok, I think that answers my question
rats
Ah, maybe it gives me a competitive advantage. It must sound mysteriously European then :)
An application for the trainee program of the Philly Mural Arts program
Where you have to submit some previous artwork, and specify its size
Thanks!

11:38 PM
@perhapsPekka No problem!
Note that people who actually do graphic design / print layout may know that term.
I worked for a marketing company about a year ago, and they did a lot of printed mailing (and this had big printing presses, and people that did the "pre-press" layout stuff). I believe I heard them refer to A4 paper a number of times.
But I could be wrong. There is something wrong with my brain, after all.

11:57 PM
@jadarnel27 nah, if it's not common knowledge to every 5-year-old (like "Letter" seems to be) then I won't use it.
> There is something wrong with my brain, after all.

That makes sense.

Screw DST
And everything it stands for.

> > There is something wrong with my brain, after all.

Like daylight.

Oh, that. That's not a problem, man.
Many people are zombies

11:58 PM
And savings.
Also, time.

> Screw DST
And everything it stands for.

@perhapsPekka Hey...keep quiet about that. People in this room don't know.

muhhhhhh

Digital Sky Technologies is going to get you for that, TCPMAN.exe!
@jadarnel27 oh crap sorry

If php is stupid, how does one un-stupid it?
I should ask that on SO.

11:59 PM
Please do
But as the saying goes....
