I mean you get rep on meta when folks up-vote your posts. So for starters, you need posts. And then, you need people to up-vote them. Which they'll usually do if they find something they enjoyed reading.
@shog9 I often get reputation on meta for making posts about how *I*suck. Does that count? I figure people just like moderators admitting they are wrong. I have to be careful my fellow mods don't lynch me, though.

hello everyone. i was wondering, are there any guidelines with regards to images that can be placed on the profile page? At the moment I have a picture of a monkey, I would like to put a slightly edited version of the following image on there http://i.imgur.com/rcfXUjc.png I'm going to cut off the bit that contains the branding, would this cause any problems or violate any rules?
