anyone knows how to edit wikipedia links and stuff like that?
I attempted to add a single link, but it was red, then I tried to change it to an existing page but failed, I need help >_<
oh I did it, nevermind

This is already the most annoying winter in a long time and it isn't even winter yet.

2:31 AM
What's up, @mootinator, forced to deal with(Facebook|PHP|Perl|C++|Malbolge)?

Forced to deal with snow 3 out of every 4 days.
The fourth day we get freezing rain instead.

Ah, weather. I feel with you.

@mootinator not to mention the new design of YouTube

I hadn't noticed.
Oh no it's different!

hi
bye

2:38 AM
grabs @Moshe by the ankle.
Missed.

2 hours later…
4:12 AM
Lol.

These last two projects at work have put a damper on my optimism.

br0wn
There, fixed it.

Ah. Thank you, that's much better.
You should be a therapist.

I should patent br0wn therapy.

(be prepared for accusations of racial insensitivity though)
I was supposed to be "overseeing a server migration" (watching movies) from 5-9, then testing the apps that run on that server.
The testing part should have taken 15 minutes. Maybe less.

I'm having a 'Didn't read the documentation' problem.
But now I've started talking to a coworker about it and it's too late to just read the documentation.

4:38 AM
@mootinator Those will always hurt your feelings.
So, instead of 15 minutes, it took two hours. Because someone forgot to recreate the alias for the web server after changing the IP address.

Well it's not too late to just read the documentation.
@jadarnel27 :/

It's okay now, though. Because of all the br0wn.
@Fosco I thought this was hilarious earlier, by the way. I just forgot to reply =)
Thanks you for listening to me complain about that problem, @mootinator.
I was explaining what was wrong to my female companion while it was happening, because I was at her place remoted in to my work network.

I was missing a ko.toJS() call. Reading documentation would have avoided that. Problem solved.
In conclusion knockout.js isn't actually magical.

Now we know. And knowing is half the battle.
The other half, of course, is violence.
G.I. Joe always forgot to mention that part.

Violence is always an option, or something.

4:49 AM
There's a joke somewhere around here about Canadians being really passive.

I am THIS close to frowning furrowing my brow right now! (Seemed a bit rude, eh.)

It takes 51 muscles to frown. It only takes 4 to discharge a firearm smile.

LOL
Fantastic edit.

interesting, if I search single words in google, they will usually explain the word
in other words, I am 4 clicks of knowing everything (double click word to select, right click and left click 'search')

I'm not tired at all barely awake.

So, where I live, standard, non-vanity license plates come with the format three letters followed by four numbers. Today, I had the pleasure of driving behind XML1337 for a few minutes.

2:53 PM
Sh*t XKCD forums says:
> It's a bit annoying to be an expert in some field -- like web development -- and have spent gobs of time (and maybe money) learning all the rules for matching your tags. . .

3:11 PM
"all the rules for matching your tags"
lolwut

You know like how some of them are self closing, and some standards call for / in self-closing tags.
There are at least 5 different things to remember. Takes time and money to remember those.
...and don't forget all the new optional closing tag rules in HTML5 you can safely ignore.

@TimStone You in?

Yah

Wow, I've missed the ability to edit in chat.
Well, first, let me check something so that I'm not so completely lazy. I'll get back to you in a minute.

3:26 PM
I may have been out drinking late last night, so uh...yeah. I'm working from home today though, so I should be able to knock out both of them here momentarily, assuming that's what you're inquiring about.

Yeah. The more point I was going to make was "It's getting late into the process, I know not everyone has gotten in but whenever you have an opening today, no rush."

Ah, yeah. I had actually intended to do it yesterday, I just ran short on time. It's definitely on my to-do list for sometime in the next few hours.

Okiedokie. Thank you much~

Of course, sorry I wasn't able to get to it sooner, I tend to get a bit thrown off course when waiting for stray candidates to show up.

3:44 PM
Tim Stone... Hired to knock out stray moderator candidates for SEInc. Talented enough to be able to do it from home.

It's true, I'm a ninja cyberassassin for hire. Of course, now that you know...

mysteriously slumps over on his keyboard.

4:30 PM
@TimStone Your base and the stuff you asked for in SE Asia are ready. I gotta ask though, what did you want the can opener for?

4:42 PM
Highly descriptive variable names: foreach($data as $datum)

1 hour later…
5:47 PM
Hmmm, in the past couple days I've gotten 5 notifications from different companies that the domain "cachear.com" is soon to be available... Maybe I should buy it just so they'll leave me alone.

5:59 PM
Hi! Do tags with no questions get auto-removed after a while?

Yes, within 24 hours.
"People who bought this item also bought: No recommendations found for your selection." - Good, then I won't be tempted to buy anything else. o.o

@animuson Congratulations! You've purchased the only thing on Amazon that no one else wanted!

6:14 PM
Oh boy! What will my prize be though? There aren't any recommendations!

6:59 PM
@TimPost My job is physically demanding, a man's got to eat. Also for the "Malaysian Mangle", but that's mostly an afterthought.

@TimStone Alright, carry on.

nods

@animuson Your prize is... uh, whatever unpopular item you ordered, I guess.

2 hours later…
8:58 PM
Ugh, people. Time for a short break, and then I'll digest some Town Halls.

9:42 PM
Ain't no party like a Tim Stone party, 'cause a Tim Stone party is late!
(somethin's wrong with muh brain)

10:35 PM

This has a code smell I can't quite put my finger on: AND f.value_int = '18+'
@jadarnel27 They had me until Ubuntu.

Yeah, that was a little disappointing.

Happy hour. I can get behind that.

10:50 PM
Again? Those weeks somehow pass in no time with only 3 days of university per week (and two of those consisting of just a single lecture)

Uh oh, drunk people are coming. hides

Its officially scotch o'clock http://twitpic.com/bjyg69

@animuson stumbles in
@jadarnel27 Fashionably late.

So, do I refactor this thing and not hate myself, or just finish it and actually take my vacation starting Wednesday.
Hmmm.

Will it really be a vacation if you're busy hating yourself?

11:06 PM
Probably not.
