Q: Should we get rid of the [div] tag?

Tim Yi JiangThe [div] tag currently has 1,356 questions. It is, in my opinion, absolutely useless. When you search using this tag, 99% of the time what you get is questions like Why isn't my Javascipt/CSS working on this div The problem is adding a tag like this does nothing to enhance the question....

@jadarnel27 And of course, sherbet redirects to sorbet ;)
2:56 PM
@mootinator Don't remind me! I just started getting past that meltdown.
It's very interesting
What I can glean from wikipedia:
No dairy: [italian ice, sorbet (may contain alcohol)] 1-2%BF sherbet 4-8%BF: gelato >8%BF ice cream
I had no idea there was such a hierarchy there :P
This guy is rather optimistic about his website's potential traffic levels =)
@jadarnel27 You mean, because it's essentially useless?
@mootinator Haha, that wasn't exactly what I was getting at (although, yeah - that's a valid point).
I just mean, the number of websites that get >= 1,000,000 page views per day is probably relatively low.
3:15 PM
@jadarnel27 Oh, you mean the question guy. You linked to an answer. Which looked like a live analytic page which actually gets 1,000,000 hits.
3:47 PM
@mootinator Yeah, I meant the question guy. I actually linked to a comment on the question, but the anchor puts the comment right at the top of your browser.
I didn't think about the fact that it would look like I was linking to the answer haha.
4:12 PM
@jadarnel27 I'd say "But it could vary from 10 a day to 1,000,000" stands a good chance to be correct. 10 hits a day isn't too unrealistic.
I can't get my inbox to load :( The other three sections all load fine :/
the sysadmins are having fun
should be back in a bit
4:28 PM
Oh those sysadmins shakes head
An intense game of ping pong?
@DanielFischer =)

@jadarnel27 Though strictly speaking, not usually as a method of making the texture smoother.

Disappoint!, @TimStone @TimYiJiang @RebeccaChernoff
@balpha You fixed that? You bastard.

I never thought about editing to try and get around that
That'd have been useful.

This is true

It's probably some secret code.

@Flexo: why is this protected? I don't see how it qualifies. — Mauricio Scheffer 11 mins ago
weird question to query protecting
8:08 PM
@Flexo That definitely seems sort of random. Especially from someone who can see the deleted answers himself.
(If it was a <10k user, I could possibly see questioning it)

@jamesson Sure. You can improve your existing contributions so that folks dislike them less, or, if you hit a rare edge-case where you were banned for no good reason, you can use the "contact us" link to let us know about it.
How shall I know if "folks dislike them less"? They will remove downvotes?
@Shog9, How shall I know if "folks dislike them less"? They will remove downvotes?
@jamesson Remove down-votes, provide up-votes, reopen closed posts, etc.
OK TY
10:52 PM
@balpha Wait, seriously? |:
I just...would have never expected, I suppose. :P
But yes, I'm disappointed in @RebeccaChernoff too.
tell me something new >_<
If it makes you feel better, I'm extra disappointed in myself. I just have decided for which reason it is today, yet.
But I went to the zoo despite the heat, so there's that.
@RebeccaChernoff the republic of coleiscool is not a real place
I am now extremely wary of the all-expense paid trip package you sold me.
Ahh, crap, that probably means I'm going to have trouble trading this timeshare too.
11:48 PM
Uh oh, I've been bat signaled.
