Yeah smells very badly but it's cross site and users appear to be different, I'll raise a ticket. Might be very not-so-smart troll or potential voting ring group that has no idea how chat works. lol

(guess only staff have proper tools to check it.)

@JNat hey there, I'm afraid I sent a ticket by mistake few hours ago, about the 8 users with 1 rep that are now "lurking" here in Tavern, because I never saw it happening before so it was suspicious, but turns out it's just a bug in chat, that cause anyone who enter to stay forever unless explictly clicking the "leave" link. Can you please cancel my ticket? Thanks.

Yeah, I’m not getting chat notifications anymore.

Well, they show as red pings across rooms in chat, but nothing pops up in my inbox. That’s even though the setting is set to 15 minutes, so even though I’m in chat rooms, it’s supposed to go to my inbox if I don’t attend to it in time.
