Hi guys, in this question I provided an answer on how to get the CSS rule, is that ok? meta.stackexchange.com/questions/381101/…
Or is it unncessary

@DialFrost IMHO, the method description seems excessive and the actual information seems to be already provided in a comment (as it should be) by Makyen. As such, your post doesn't answer the question, just provides some very tangential details which are probably unnecessary for those who are in a position to understand them (though they might be useful as an answer to "how do I inspect the source of a web page" type beginner question)

6:55 AM
@DialFrost I'd say it's fine.

A: How do I answer a bug report?

reneYou can answer a bug report when you can either: Explain where the bug in the code is and add a possible solution. That is easier if you have code access, but I've answered a few bug reports based on some reverse engineering and inspection of what I found/tracked in the browser. Have a good repr...

It falls under bullet 1 there

hmmm, then what is the solution?

@tripleee The solution is to remove the CSS rule
That's implicit from the answer, but if edited to mention it explicitly, it would fall squarely under that bullet.

harumph, sure, the devs could do that, but they hardly need to find out how to find it

Well, a former web developer for SE went rogue and made changes without full consultation with the rest of the dev team multiple times, so it's not unlikely this may have happened here

@tripleee actually Makyen provided the correct CSS rule, yes, but putting it into the code won't work, so I showed the actual code :P
Makyen was a few chars off

@SonictheAnonymousHedgehog Currently trying to find the code in the source code under dev tools
only problem: the entire code is written in 2 lines, so it's impossible to find :(
Wait nevermind

was moved to Chimney although it's still not deleted ... any new flaggers here?

@tripleee flagged

@tripleee I check through the last few and assume the rest were deleted. I guess I missed that one

no worries, it would be nice if the Chimney mover could be a script which checks every report before moving it, I guess they already have something like that in SOCVR

Hi guys, can I get your opinion on a meta question? :D

1:27 PM
Guys if someone posted a post on Meta SO regarding a bug, is it ok if I copy it to Meta.SE if it applies to all sites?

1:54 PM
@DialFrost No. If the user that originally posted it wants to move to MSE (and delete on SO) that's fine, otherwise don't ever go crossposting anything, especially not other users' posts

@Tinkeringbell Oh ok, I deleted my post
Thanks for informing me! I'll keep that in mind for next time :P

Will the programmers of tomorrow be shipping products written without touching too much code?

@Feeds at least it has disturbed Meta.SO once ...

I can imagine being forced to use them being very disruptive.

@MetaAndrewT. I noticed that, too. I... like that it's not a confusing on/off switch where it's unclear whether MD is the "on" or "off" state.
That said, it's unclear whether everyone's fully versed in the MD logo.
