Hallo!
Is there a way to sort answers by a specific order? Like in private Q&A teams?

I can't screenshot you my private team (mod only) but same options there

so it's not possible to arrange by your own order right

No? Never has been?

aww ok
thanks anways

@DialFrost there are some userscripts that can sort: stackapps.com/search?q=sort+%5Bscript%5D I've never tried those so I'm not sure if they (still) work.

Not sure who cast that close vote but to the people in the queue: tracudir is a tool used for the foreign language SE sites, and questions about it definitely belong here on MSE, as it makes tracudir software that powers the Stack Exchange network. — Tinkeringbell ♦ 12 hours ago
@Tinkeringbell FYI, it is possible for mods to see who cast a pending close vote.

@SonictheAnonymousHedgehog sure, but we don't want to name and shame and all that

Oh, we don't?

Well, YOU we do
I mean the rest of the users.
The goal here is "hey, this is on topic"
not "CLOSEVOTER, YOU ARE BAD AND SHOULD FEEL BAD"

@JourneymanGeek more like I was on mobile and lazy, but sure :)

That too

8:44 AM
@JourneymanGeek Wasn't encouraging that. Just phrase the sentence without the "not sure" part, and then later on when you get to a computer ping the user who voted in another (preferably private) chat room.

@SonictheAnonymousHedgehog that's naming and shaming
or, point out so the next sapient dosen't do the same thing

@SonictheAnonymousHedgehog I'm not planning on getting to a computer in the next two weeks much. And the item seems to handled by the queue now anyways, so instead of nitpicking the text, try to think of something more useful you could do?

In case it matters: I added a wiki excerpt to the tag, so close voters have a tad more context, for when the next question gets asked in 6 to 8 weeks. Then we can blame and shame close voters for not paying attention ...
@Tinkeringbell you deliberately are out of reach of wifi for the next two weeks? Good call.

@rene Nah. Just not at a computer, but on a comfy couch with mobile devices, using the TV and Switch to play games, or the old 3DS.. maybe read a book or two more (already finished one)...
I might even go sit outside, though predictions for next week are bad.

9:03 AM
sounds good. And yeah, the weather will be warm next week, so you need a shade and a breeze.

Shade I can arrange, breezes not so much. But I have a small pool I may set up :)

9:22 AM
Given the water shortage you have to fill it with milk ...

Hmm. I was thinking tea. ;)

I was thinking champagne first ... don't want to give you ideas ;)

@rene heh went from talking about tags to tea and champagne within 8 messages :D

yep, that is how we roll in the Tavern ;)

@rene :( I can't unfortunately ... not in the mood lol
By the way guys, should this be implemented?

11:01 AM
Hiding the sort answer for only 1 answer seems like a good idea

@DialFrost It is tricky. There are two camps for UX design. Those that believe that all available UI elements should always be visible to aid in "discoverability" of features and those that believe only ui elements should be shown that make sense / can be actioned upon. You'll probably find those two camps on MSE as well. In general SE designed around the "all items should be visible" and that is what most of us are used to. So, I expect oposition when that gets proposed on MSE.

oh ok thanks!

UX.se might have some background on what I tried to describe poorly in a few sentences: ux.stackexchange.com/search?q=hide+elements

11:31 AM
@rene or at least be in as few a clicks as possible
@DialFrost also, less special cases means easier maintainability

11:52 AM
@JourneymanGeek Ah ok, I'll keep that in mind!

(actually that was probably the reason Jeff Threatened violence got annoyed with pluralisation bugs in the old days)
and I get grumpy about SO exclusive features :D

12:10 PM
@rene Strange I'm not able to load the page anymore

12:55 PM
@DialFrost yeah, we have been on and off. I was in the middle of cleaning up some spam account when it went service unavailable to me. It is back now but by the time you read this it might be gone again.

Although certainly not intended, sometimes I find Smokey as a second HNQ source... or is it INQ? ("Interesting" Network Question)
