The issue in question is getting fixed per the former link (a staff announcement), and typical policy is to close such questions as duplicates but it's already closed as a duplicate of a different question.

(The current target shouldn't be closed, as it talks about a different case - bookmarks and follows - and per the staff comment on my answer to the former question, those votes aren't affected here.)
