What's that famous post where someone describes an unpleasant first experience on SE like it were walking into a bank and getting slapped? (Then the manager tells you that the tellers are all wonderful, and none of them slap people but if you were slapped you must have deserved it....)

@Tinkeringbell missing a line that claims that anyway the customers that come whining about getting slapped are only a vocal minority, about 0.00[...]001 % of the actual user base.

Having worked retail (and customer service in one) that would be lie.
Customers are the worst, they will complain about anything to try and save money.
If they learn that there's a whole thing on social media out there with people that complain about being slapped, they will just join in.

@tripleee still up (!) any new flaggers around?

Both gone now :)

@Tinkeringbell I try to be reasonable, but my parents call me out for that

One user posted their SO question on Meta, and the subsequent (correct) moderation response led them to posting this strange Ripoff Report complaint.

laughing and crying at the same time
(also FWIW, I was able to view it just fine, even though I'm in the EU)

@tripleee same here. Also really old

tbh that feels like a badge of honour :D

that was quick, thanks
this one is really shady but I hesitate to flag as spam travel.stackexchange.com/questions/171804/…

@tripleee I flagged it as such, let the mods there decide. It is shady, but the user also has two hidden accounts, one with a completely 'normal' (but not well-received) post.

12:20 PM
@Tinkeringbell thanks, let's see how it goes

1:15 PM
OP followed up and removed the suspicious links

1:42 PM
@tripleee Then I followed up and retracted the flag (and downvote that came with it :) )

`// TODO sg: TMP solution until we are confident in our current implementation of async imports // once we are, we can move the if into the js entry file and dynamically load the mark obsolete module `

who put a JS comment into the HTML code on SO? :D

@ThiefMaster Well maybe the MSE post will get an answer saying who it was, but... I wouldn't get your hopes up. It doesn't really matter ;)

5:19 PM
doesn't look like it

6:17 PM
@ThiefMaster well, assuming the sg are the initials of the dev you can do some guessing with the staff list on hand: meta.stackexchange.com/questions/95625/…

Cheater :P

LOL

Should bug reports regarding the profile page updates be posted as answers to this question still?

@Spevacus Hmmm. It does say so. But you could comment there and ask?

Sure :)

6:31 PM
The answer you'll hopefully get will be more authorative then " if it's up to me, it doesn't matter" :P

Hehehe

@Vickel srsly?

Deleted

@rene should I not flag?
oh you refer to your cv-pls... didn't seee sorry!

well, sure but posting it twice is maybe overkill
@Vickel ;)

When the Log4j security issue was disclosed, developers came looking for answers. We took a look at our site data around it.

they responded by creating a lot of awful questions

@Feeds "with milk" may not be a very popular choice here but this sounds promising, or at least unusual enough to wake me up.
