In epidemiology, an infection is said to be endemic (from Greek ἐν en "in, within" and δῆμος demos "people") in a population when that infection is constantly maintained at a baseline level in a geographic area without external inputs. For example, chickenpox is endemic (steady state) in the United Kingdom, but malaria is not. Every year, there are a few cases of malaria reported in the UK, but these do not lead to sustained transmission in the population due to the lack of a suitable vector (mosquitoes of the genus Anopheles). While it might be common to say that AIDS is "endemic" in some countries...

I still have a pending edit on opendata.stackexchange.com/questions/20169/…, somebody with more magical powers might be able to revert the vandalism more directly?

@tripleee if you look at the other posts of this user, this all seems like spam to me, promoting RTI

yup, I think that was established already; but the edit that was made should still be reverted if the question should stay up at all IMHO
now it's not even a question at all any longer, just a rigged lead-in to the answer that was posted but then deleted

That's odd, because the last four reviewers of the suggested edit queue have visited in the past week, two of them today. That's the extent of my wand's powers.

@Rob well 2 isn't enough ofc. Unless they edit it themselves

An essential part of requirements analysis is understanding which quality characteristics are the most important so that designers can address them appropriately.
