I just got offered a LQP review for an answer I had previously downvoted. That's not supposed to happen, right?

@bobble Usually depends on what caused the review, IIRC. I believe the queues only check activity on the answer since the answer enters the queues, so if you downvoted a post e.g. a year ago, and a new flag was raised, you should still be able to review it

@cairdcoinheringaahing I had downvoted it seconds ago. Maybe caching.

@Luuklag I was already invested, and showed my dedication, did I need to get a badge to prove it; just nothing will be good enough, just one more thing I gotta do to prove it, then another thing.

Maybe there is a positive edge to the name change: When we now tell people to raise complaints on Meta they might actually go post on facebook and never return ...

@VoteDukakis Yeah, I was trying to help get some help there, but not getting much traction.

7:21 AM
fine, then no helping comment ...

user960635
@rene huh? Was that for me?

@Snow no, the other doggy did a thing. Basically deleting a question while I was almost done writing a comment.

user960635
Ahh.. Roger that.

"It was friday"
@rene I think I plonked one or two on the train
I assume it was the code-dump with no real effort?

@JourneymanGeek this one meta.stackexchange.com/questions/371377/vhdl-generate-statement. I wanted to add a comment with a link to the search stackexchange.com/… so they could find the correct site.

ah
You have a minute
I've undeleted. Comment, then I'll redelete once done.

Well the SO election is also quite the mess...
@Rob I'm not sure what you are trying to convey here, but I sense some disappointment, or am I totally wrong?

Where do retired IT professionals chat with each other? Do they want to?

user960635
@WalterMitty Where do any other retired person chat to each other? I don't think there's any difference really, unless the retired professionals are extra-nerdy Linux people.

@Snow COBOLT people ;)

user960635
I'm old enough to have been taught COBOL. And FORTRAN-77.

insert okay boomer joke here /joke

1:51 PM
@Snow You got a problem with nerdy Linux people? Eh? Eh?
Also, hi Snow, long time no chat!

@WalterMitty In the LKML.

user960635
@terdon <tips cap>

@WalterMitty I think they either never retire or get as far away from tech as they can.

user960635
@JourneymanGeek Yes. I don't plan on talking about technology when I retire. I'll mostly be talking about gardening or the benefits of comfortable slippers.

On this page is anybody else able to scroll to the right?

user960635
2:07 PM
@EkadhSingh-ReinstateMonica Um, yes I can - it I minimise the page so the horizontal scroll bar appears, I can scroll it. Not too sure what you mean.

Is this some SE feature?

@Snow on my screen it appears pretty buggy, cause the formatting breaks when I scroll to the right.

user960635
Seems fine on Edge.

@EkadhSingh-ReinstateMonica Formatting breaks? This?

2:33 PM
@EkadhSingh-ReinstateMonica I reduced my viewport width, the table kept the proportions.
Once I go under 800 pixels, the horizontal scroll bar appears

If anyone wants to help out with freelancing.se, I could use some rep to do what I can to stop it closing down. I’m still not convinced that’s what the users actually want to happen. If I can stand for moderation, I’ll do what I can to help. Thanks very much.

Q: Is there any way to transfer reputation other than bounties?

aaron34westonAre there any ways to transfer reputation between users without using bounties?

5:03 PM
@rene Do you know how I can get the tag of a question via the /posts/{ids} API? I want the tags to a post in addition to my existing filters: api.stackexchange.com/docs/…

@Anndreaminginthesun you can't as the post object doesn't have a tags field. Use one of the the /questions/ endpoints.

@rene oh, okay. thanks!

Well, maybe I'm the exception. I'm definitely retired. But I don't want to get as far from tech as I can. I'm selective in my interests but there are some things I still like.
