So honestly you don't know and guessed it was cancelled?

I made the edit before the post. Then, I didn't think there was any other reason why the sponsorship would not be in place one day after the announced start date, and didn't think it was because the business deal fell through. (I didn't think that it could just be delayed until later, when I was writing the question.)
