Hey can anyone tell why I am getting this red dot: i.stack.imgur.com/pF6sM.png

because there are review queue's about full

Q: When I look at the review icon, I see red

TylerHI like the new notification version of the review icon, which I'm guessing is still undergoing A/B testing: It does a better job at saying "attention here, please" than the old icon which was almost indiscernible, and certainly easily ignored. What it doesn't do is tell me any useful informat...

Wow but I can't see any: i.stack.imgur.com/vmS7J.png @Luuklag

@JitendraSingh yeah there are some bugs with it. Perhaps it is the close vote queue that is "in danger", but you don't have access
what site are you on?

I don't have enough rep to see the review icon there

8:50 AM
@Luuklag You can just click on the link I linked in math stackexchange or the link is math.stackexchange.com/review

Yes I know, but I can't see the review icon in the topbar

Yeah, the red dot is buggy. Sometimes it includes some reviews that you are not eligible.

@JNat one more spammer for the backlog stackexchange.com/users/22509343/freany

10:45 AM
Poor JNat, just came back and already got backlog... :D
@Rob waste of waste.
Some people just found a way to get rich super easily, either they made a Wish that came true (lamp?) or pure luck.
But seriously, even I wouldn't have thought to make coffee from poop, and sell it. Kudos to them.

Rob
JNat Coffee, now that would be worth something.

@Rob given to spammers, to give them what they deserve.

Observability platforms enable you to easily figure out what’s happening with every request and to identify the cause of issues fast. Learning the principles of observability and OpenTelemetry will set you apart from the crowd and provide you with a skill set that will be in increasing demand as more companies perform cloud migrations.

@Feeds you need some observability you onebox!

Q: Outdated Answers: accepted answer is now unpinned on Stack Overflow

Anita TaylorLast week, as part of our Outdated Answers project, we ran a test on Stack Overflow to see what would happen if we stopped pinning the accepted answer to the top of the list of answers. As expected, there were no negative repercussions when we made this change. So, as promised, today we are makin...

> a change the meta community has been asking for for years was finally made, and proven to be a useful change, 😱

4:27 PM
@MetaAndrewT. I'm still going to love and hate it at the same time ;)

New idea, pin it to no lower than second place and label it clearly if it hoisted the answer?

Rob
They'll replace the pin with Bulldog™ clips.

not Clippy?

I agree with your entire reply to Tink. A classic example is the "bulldog clip" on English.SE.

off topic question if you don't mind. do you prefer to look at stack exchange on your phone in landscape or portrait?

There's no "off topic" here. ;)

ok

@ShadowWizardIsVaccinatedV3 You monster. It needs that passion. That's like taking the caramelishness out of a good stroopwafel.
And then all you're left with is...
a husk.
@JcbJoe I prefer not to look at Stack Exchange on my phone at all.

@JcbJoe I use only portrait mode for all apps except games that really require landscape.

5:04 PM
ok thanks

@Ollie fruit is still a fruit, might even be sweet. It just won't desire other fruits.
:D

@ShadowWizardIsVaccinatedV3 anyway, it's been <=20 minutes since V2Blast drank that tea. Wouldn't it be tricky getting the fruit back?

@Ollie eww not the one Mr. Blast drank, no passion there anyway already. Talking about the tea bags that still stashed for Smokey to use. ;)
I won't touch CM pee, it's too risky.

Okaaay then.

But, coffee is still a coffee!

And, time to bath the kids. Or more accurate, make them take a bath, they're old enough now to do it on their own. :D

Take some caffeine in there, you may need it.

@Tinkeringbell It will be a nightmare, or require an unwanted banner / flashing sign, to know if you are on a regular site or not untill you scroll down further and figure out if it's a pin site or not:
> "Keep the accepted answer pinned on all SE sites by default and unpin it on a few sites that ask us to do so."
Should be all or none, or even user profile selectable; so you know what is what, without guessing.

6:23 PM
@Rob People get used to everything :P Site scopes are different, and not all sites have MathJax enabled either.

Rob
Some people are confounded when there's one or more things involved, try adding a few variables 🤯^ ¹⁰
Speaking of MathJax, people have trouble with whether the site uses $ or \$ and wonder why when they use a dollar sign their text becomes all messed up.

Q: We’ve removed the option to disable the fixed top bar

Aaron ShekeyWe’ve removed the option to disable the fixed top bar. We didn’t change the default. We’ve only removed the ability to change the default. According to SEDE, we’ve got ~13k users with the fixed top bar disabled. To put this into context, 730k people have opted into either system or dark theme. Th...
