@JourneymanGeek yes we can, using HTML to show the image
This does not change the actual width of the image, but guess that's what @GWarner refers to, and it was not lost. (yet?)

@ShadowWizardWearingMaskV2 has it ever? :D

@SmokeDetector easy, spend $1000 in 100 casinos, the one where you win the most as result is the best. :D
@JourneymanGeek has it ever what?

30 messages moved to Chimney
worked as its supposed to :D

@JourneymanGeek sure, why not? Used it myself several times.
You can set either height or width this way to scale down images, without being bound by imgur. Downside is you still see the original image, just resized by the browser.
(so if it's huge, it would be slow to load)

@ShadowWizardWearingMaskV2 so raw HTML rather then the editor...

@GWarner yes that's the only way that we ever had, as far as I know at least.
(except what @Journeyman mentioned, adding a letter suffix to choose between pre-built smaller versions.)

Q: Resizing an image in a post?

warrenIs it possible to resize an image in an answer? For example, How important is PhD research topic to getting a job? has an answer that should have the image in the answer, but it's too big. Is there a way to handle resizing?

Everything is there in the answers ^

@ShadowWizardWearingMaskV2 So instead of trying to edit in a size (which doesn't seem to work in the editor) I should delete the entire image upload prompt and place the html myself?

user728672
@ShadowWizardWearingMaskV2 This may seem elementary but I kept trying to format them damned unicorns in Sandy's box, and was getting cross-eyed.

user728672
@ShadowWizardWearingMaskV2 prebuilt. i saw that it didnt like any size besides 64 or 128

Hey SE mods! Is my question: meta.stackexchange.com/q/368100 really a duplicate?
@Tinkeringbell

@RandomPerson If it's not, follow the instructions in the close dialog: Edit your post to make it clear that it's not a duplicate. Pinging mods makes no sense
It's not in the instructions.

@Tinkeringbell My post is quite obvious that it's not a duplicate. So I am not sure what to elaborate about.
@Tinkeringbell hmmm. Thanks for that! Bye!

@ShadowWizardWearingMaskV2 You should have seen the poor ponies in Sand Box when I tried out corralling them in a table instead of taking an entire screen length.

A: Shouldn't the "English only" policy be mentioned in the FAQ?

Jeff AtwoodDo we really need a NO ELEPHANTS sign? I mean, isn't such a thing obvious? Would you go to a forum where everyone was communicating in French and type Hey French Dudes, I got a question but I don't know French so I'm just going to go ahead and ask it in English anyway?

Relevant is the link there: joelonsoftware.com/2000/04/12/choices

English only, please! Bedankt.

He was six-foot-four and full of muscle
I said, "Do you speak-a my language?"
And he just smiled and gave me a Vegemite sandwich...

@Luuklag hmm?
What did I miss?
@GWarner we have a giant here as well, @Bart - not sure about his height, but he surely has giant feet:
May 9 '17 at 13:11, by Bart
I'm 50 (or 15 US)
(50 shoe size)

That you shouldnt use your socknto star your own messages ;)
@ShadowWizardWearingMaskV2 that is giant indeed. I doubt any regular store carries that size.

@Luuklag ohh, of course lol. Don't think I ever starred anything with a sock, too high risk of starring same message twice.

@Luuklag correct, he ranted how he has to buy it only online.
Think Bart can tell we talk about his feet? ;)
Maybe they tickle now? :D

Yeah usually here biggest size in a regular store is 47/48 I think

8:30 PM
@Luuklag heh. Never checked here, actually. Probably about the same, we don't have big feet here in Israel. :D

You small people ;)

@DavidPostill well that's the most extreme case, like taking Jon Skeet as example user of SO. ;)

My father in law met this guy:
