@Rob almost. Only on main sites. Bug still exists on the per-site metas.
Either backfill skipped the meta sites, or it filled with different salt/hash/whatever for main/meta causing different identicon on each.
I'm pretty sure it affects only identicons, i.e. those hosting actual image on Gravatar aren't affected. (hence it wasn't spotted when testing, e.g. Community user etc.)
@ShadowWizardWearingMaskV2 Nope, haven't watched it yet... probably won't either, infections are still soaring here and I'm not going to shut myself up in a room with who knows what.
@ShadowWizardWearingMaskV2 ^ Yes, a reconciliation has been triggered early (instead of waiting for it to run); but as he peels back a layer (and examines the uncommented nor documented code) another hickup is found that must be cobbled into a new shoe.
and there's a holdup on accepting the root duplicate of the above linked question so there's no banner making it obvious that there's a link, but the Dev's answer is split between a few posts.
The talk about sex (also known colloquially as "the birds and the bees" and "the facts of life") is generally the occasion in most children's lives when their parents explain what sexual relationships are.According to tradition, "the birds and the bees" is a metaphorical story sometimes told to children in an attempt to explain the mechanics and results of sexual intercourse through reference to easily observed natural events. For instance, bees carry and deposit pollen into flowers, a visible and easy-to-explain parallel to the way a man brings about fertilisation. Female birds laying eggs is...
@Luuklag hot in a cold way, if that's even possible. :P
@Luuklag yup. Also I learned the hard way (well, it was hard to watch, and sad to see someone suspended for a week over it) to never ever hot link images here.
Someone hotlinked from a site that hated people hotlinking to it so much, that it served different image when detecting it's being hotlinked. The different image was random extreme NSFW, in levels even I never saw before. @Luuk
(uploading to imgur first, I do it via SE as it's more simple and feels more proper here ;))
@Luuklag ohh, forgot the most tricky part, and most evil part of this: the user posting it was seeing the "innocent" image they were trying to hotlink, only others saw the NSFW version.
For newcomers (or for a less spammy version), use a {{minnow}}, {{diet trout small}} or {{trout small}}.
For a styleable version that can, e.g., be floated the right of talk page posts, use {{minnow}}.
For not-so-subtle adjustments, try a {{whale}}.
For a group of users, try {{multitrout}}.
Any Wikipedian who wants to advertise an openness to being trout-slapped can add {{trout me}} to the top of their user page for a topicon or {{Wikipedians open to trout slapping}} for a banner. For a button, see Template:Emergency-user-slap.

The following is not intended to be reliable encyclopedic...
To the best of my recollection I've only ever filed two "contact us" tickets, and I did not get a response to either. One was about a matter of personal safety (asking for an account deletion to be expedited before PII could be misused). I just assumed that the policy was to never respond, and the canned text was incorrect. — Monica Cellioyesterday
@ShadowWizardWearingMaskV2 I did earn the hat! I went a little overboard on participating in Winterbash, I had just accepted the offer for the job here and was kinda trying to prove myself. Ended up #20 on the network wide hat leaderboard, and #6 on MSE 😅 Also played waaaaaaay too much Hat Dash 🦄
@Mithical I'm D&D nerd but I haven't committed to watching Critical Role yet. I did listen to the first season of The Adventure Zone, which is still D&D but uh... a different tone 😛
@rene I fear the day that the MBMBAM folks get ahold of the SE network
> Automatically create a chat room - released May 18, 2021 CMs often create chat rooms so that candidates can discuss the election with voters. This is now a one-click process. The system creates the chat room and adds a link to the Election page, so that users can easily visit the chat room.
On election pages, there is a short section with links to additional resources. As an example, here is the relevant part for the 2013 Stack Overflow moderator election:
Apparently, however, the content for that section is shared among all past and present elections for a site. Therefore, the E...
