@Rob I don't personally have an opinion on it. Whatever makes mods' lives easier.
Seeing as David is a mod (and iirc is referred to as quite the spam hunter) I imagine leaving things as-is would make things easier for him.

morning

7:28 AM
had a good easter weekend?

Not any lousier than usual. And you?

no good parties? :D

Had my brother in law over, which was ok
But the weather yesterday was really F'd up.
so we didn't go out long, while we were planning to do so

lol,. there's a old railway line that's being converted into a park
I spent 45 minutes finding the enterence, and when I did... it started raining

haha good one

7:38 AM
@JourneymanGeek Unless you call spending your evening being abused by a demented arsehole a 'good party'.... no.

Here it was like, 5 mins hailstorm, 5 mins sunshine, 5 mins hailstorm
etc. etc.

Well not for most people.

for the entire of yesterday, and probably today as well

@Luuklag oh, It just opens up :D

7:39 AM
Yep. This morning I've already seen 2x snowing, 2x sun...

@Tinkeringbell Sounds like a good way to enjoy your weekend :/

Not much hail yet though.
@Luuklag Yeah... But most of the rest was the usual kind of boring, so that's kinda okay I guess.
Risked my life to go visit a furniture shop on Saturday (to get some of mom's nagging out of the way). I've decided I hate furniture shopping.

lol
I'm pretty sure its not something that's 'fun'even without covid

I don't know... I've got nothing to compare it to.
But since everyone talks about 'funshopping' in relation to furniture stores, I guess it's supposed to be?

@Tinkeringbell Well at least it can't be too crowded these days
in the good old day you could literally walk over the people in the furniture shops on easter
Now they have to have people make appointments and allow only a max number based on square meters of floor space

7:50 AM
@Luuklag Mom and I were the only people there. It still was crowded, with three eager salespeople hovering and getting too close continually. But we went on Saturday, not Easter.

Already picked out some stuff for your apartment?

8:11 AM
@SonictheCuriouserHedgehog you don't need to convince me that your edits are correct. And you're responsible enough to change your edits and even roll them back if they're wrong, no idea what got into that user all of a sudden.

@Luuklag Yeah, I'm going to take the desk I have now XD
I've also picked a kitchen, ages ago. As for the rest, I wouldn't know where to start. I've got no clue how much room I will actually have, and how I want to decorate it.

@ShadowTheVaccinatedWizard Yeah, the proper procedure if one sees such an inconsistency would be to post a support question rather than rollback war (as I did in another case).

@Tinkeringbell Apparently a few hours ago EMA has finally acknowledge that the research papers were not made up and there is a correlation between Astra and VIPIT. But... they are not sure that they will give any directive in what to do.

@SPArcheon I'll catch up on the news later ;) I've got work to do now XD

8:26 AM
@Tinkeringbell We did visit IKEA a few times during the pandemic, and found the experience safe

@ShadowTheVaccinatedWizard Hey shadow, long time no see. How are you?

@SonictheCuriouserHedgehog It could be safe yes, if everyone around you follows the rules and restrictions. Over here, almost no one seems to realize just how much distance 1,5m actually is. You'd expect furniture salespeople to realize that if the coffee table you're standing next to has 120cm as its longest dimension, more space is needed.....

They are salespeople, not surveyors ;)

Wait, you're referring to IKEA only? I thought you were talking about the more "traditional" furniture stores

@SonictheCuriouserHedgehog I am still talking about a traditional furniture store, yes. You're the one that started about IKEA. In either case, people here don't stick to the rules so while it could be safe, it could also very well be not.

8:42 AM
What I was saying was, if you found the experience at the traditional stores to not be safe, perhaps you'd have a different experience at IKEA, especially as the salespeople there don't hover around you as much. But, as you say, it's still the same there, so it doesn't matter.

@SonictheCuriouserHedgehog Was it Endless (aka #3008)?

@Luuklag mauritshuis.nl/en/discover/exhibitions/… I did some shopping therapy to make up for the weekend now ;)

@Tinkeringbell smell the colour, this must be some kind of april fools

Synthesia!

Not the colour :P The things depicted on the painting. And no, it's no joke. I knew this was coming for a while, I read an article about it ages ago... but forgot until a coworker sent me the link to a news article announcing it today :D
It's probably just me being a museum nerd... But I really loved the idea the first time I read about it, and I still do. And the fact that they found a way to do the exhibition from the safety of home is even better!

@Tinkeringbell but the Mauritshuis is an awesome building at an awesome location.

1:27 PM
@rene Sure, and I would really love to go there some day. Just not next week XD

Understandable

@Tinkeringbell Let me scare you a bit: the potential travel using droplets of the virus is 6-8 m (yes, really) in the case of cough and sneeze. Airbone is even more ridiculous, it can "linger" in the air long after the infected individual left the space. That's why copious ventilation is crucial in most scenarios.

If you're coughing or sneezing, you're *supposed* to stay home, at least until you're tested negative. Also, mandatory masks are a thing over here, so I hope that limits coughing/sneezing a lot.

But yeah. I know.

Inhales dust
Fights urge to sneeze in public
Ha haa haaaaa

Fun story: Two days before lockdowns started here, I was on a platform waiting for a metro to arrive. It was in the middle of the city, near a very busy highway, dry weather... the pollution often makes me sneezy then. I sneezed, and a lot of people looked. Did have some more personal space after that though XD

oh, had a bad cold before covid

@M.A.R. Breathing alone leaves aerosol/airborne particles :D
So, you must do better than that.

3:40 PM
@Tinkeringbell let me guess. Zuid/WTC?

@Braiam CHOOOOOO
@Tinkeringbell Is it possible to learn this power
Second dose in 10 days. Then I'll be a free m-ALL HAIL OUR OVERLORD GILL BATES
Hmm, actually I got the Chinese vaccine. So COMMUNISM ☭ HECK YEAH

The Ema..... Yes.... no, no correlation, pirates cause VIPIT, there is a correlation but we do nothing, try again i a few days, the customer you are calling is not available at the moment....

Sorry for the hiccups hic

I didn't think somebody would be so easy to buy into a political opinion

Welcome to the age of manipulat- hic USSR theme hic

3:53 PM
@M.A.R. so we could say: for this pandemic all the good stuff came from China?

Always been true about iPhones and Macs, why not the pandemic?

Point

@rene Amsterdam Zuid, yeah.
@M.A.R. Pepper could help, perhaps. Otherwise, dust?

4:23 PM
@M.A.R. How's the 5G reception with the vaccine?

5:05 PM
@M.A.R. I have the strange urge to buy MS products
Like I never knew that I need an xbox.
Wait, I also got Sinovac... umm, don't have a witty comment.

5:26 PM
MS Sinovac? Wut?

5:46 PM
Sinovac makes Coronavac, which is the one developed in China
