@Shadow10YearsWizard The existing post was by a user with the same(-ish) name, and this addressed comments on that post (linked by Rob). A moderator has since deleted some of the comments and combined the two answers, including the link you identified as spam.
The digit ratio is the ratio of the lengths of different digits or fingers. The 2D:4D ratio is the most studied digit ratio and is calculated by dividing the length of the index finger of a given hand by the length of the ring finger of the same hand. A number of studies have shown a correlation between the 2D:4D digit ratio and various physical and behavioral traits.
== Measurement ==
The digit length is typically measured on palmar (ventral) hand, from the midpoint of bottom crease (where the finger joins the hand) to the tip of the finger. However, recently measurement of digit on dorsal hand...
Is there any question (in MSE) (probably a feature request or discussion post) regarding letting the users decide if their posts can be shared on Twitter or not?
I can't find a particular FR that asks for users to be able to opt-out of that event from happening on their questions. If you proceed on asking I would careful word that as in general FR's that only benefits the asker without a clear positive incentive for the broader community you might be in for 6 to 8 down votes. There have been mishaps before, based on a few posts I scanned so you could us that in your justification for the feature.
Someone is allowed to create a website consisting of only your posts, as long as the source is properly attributed; @technastic_tc, I'm not understanding how removing only the Twitter sharing helps hide your questions, though it definitely will reduce their exposure significantly (in some cases).
@Rob The point is not about hiding. Many users might be unaware of their posts being shared in Twitter. Some might not like their posts being shared in Twitter. So it would be better if this was made opt-in choice.
It's not... but it's a gateway. If we do more with it, we could let mods appoint room mods rather than (or in addition to) ROs. One of the features is being able to set a kick duration.
@Rob I'm not talking about the direct Twitter sharing link. I'm talking about Twitter bot account(handled by SE) automatically sharing posts in Twitter without informing OP.
@Rob :)
@rene ok!
I have got an idea! Instead of posting a feature request directly, shall I first create a discussion post where the community can share its opinion whether it's ok (or not ok) for a bot to share their posts automatically in Twitter?
Depending upon the answers, I can come to better conclusion if the community might like or dislike my feature request.
That's alright. You can do it whenever. One second, I'll pull up the relevant how-to...
@Ollie Here ya go. The TL;DR is... Set up some conditions, press Clifford the Big Red Button (grants MS the ability to flag on your behalf) and then sit back and relax.
Your flags will most likely not be used as often as you might think, but you'll cast a few at some point, I'm sure.
@technastic_tc I'd change the request to "Ask for post author permission before sharing their post on social media". This both doesn't imply the OP can actively make SE share the post, and include Facebook where they also share manually some posts.
@JourneymanGeek According to Wikipedia Bangalore (Bangaluru) has Kannada as it's most spoken language; I presume that the English requirement is to request stick poking. Perhaps German is to speak with upper management, co-workers, or the market that they wish to expand into; maybe it's like some of the other condition employers ask for, to cut down on applications and obtain an additional skill not compensated for. I've had interviews where they thought they'd ask 50 questions (or the 64 dollar
question), but I knew they weren't paying that per hour, so ... no.
JG, Reading what goes into my prior background checks I'm fairly certain that I don't want random person authorized to conduct one - so I'm ineligible too:
> The background investigation will include credit and criminal history checks, records checks to verify citizenship of family members, verification of date of birth, education, employment history, and military history. Interviews of individuals who know the candidate and of any current or former spouse (divorced within the past ten years) will be conducted. Residences will be confirmed, neighbors interviewed, and public records queried for information about bankruptcies, divorces,
> and criminal or civil litigation. Additional interviews will be conducted, as needed, to resolve any inconsistencies or issues which have developed during the course of the investigation.
